The painted hens are an artist project to support the urban hen initiative in Billings. These gorgeous gals will be featured in an online gallery at the mentioned blogsite and will be auctioned to provide funding to help feed families backyard eggs - "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime..." This theory applies to teaching people how to raise their own backyard eggs as well! :)
