It needs a KOP end, designed much higher than the rest of the stadium. I like the general style, but without the KOP I can see a lot of Liverpool supporters rejecting it. A mighty wall of red is what needs to be envisioned.

I´m spanish football player, and I love the old architecture of the English stadiums. No stands in the corners, different heights of construction in the stands, where you can sense the various extensions. when you're down there in the pitch, you can feel the history of the local team, the english football tradition.
Most of the new stadiums seem the same, do not have the personality of the old stadiums.
Unfortunately it doesn't appear the council will grant a redevelopment any planning consent anytime in the near future... You don't regenerate a neighborhood by building or redeveloping an industrial looking building in the middle of a residential neighborhood... Anfield does look as and is an industrial building... On the other hand the HKS design looks like a commerial office building...

Nice stadium good look to it but I have one design fault .. if you pause it at 1:00 , you can see that if it rains (which it does in the North) then the rain which hits the roof of the stadium will collect and land on the pitch because of the slant , maybe a slight change would correct this, but i like it.

I think both designs are excellent but the latest one is much more distinctive, it will be unique and unmistakable to look at. Nothing like a poor man's anything. The concept for the Kop is excellent and I can't wait to hear the accoustics, you can imagine it's shape focussing the sound like nothing else. Apart from the seats it will be nearest to the old days on the Kop you could get?

I think both designs are excellent but the latest one is much more distinctive, it will be unique and unmistakable to look at. Nothing like a poor man's anything. The concept for the Kop is excellent and I can't wait to hear the accoustics, you can imagine it's shape focussing the sound like nothing else. Apart from the seats it will be nearest to the old days on the Kop you could get?
