  • simply perfect!!

  • This beautiful man visited hell, witnessed the fires, and

returned to tell his story and sing yet another song. That

'bout says it all. Say nothing until you've been there as well!

  • LOve LovE LOVe This..Thank you =)

  • The limit of quality.

  • Dcord, dude... wipe the Jism off the screen and take a breathe. I mean, this is pretty good, but dude... it's a chubby bald dude that has too much facial hair singing a so-so song pretty good. Christ. This kinda tripe is like Cat-Nip for coulda-been-a-contender baby boomers. And people like Beiber and Gaga cause.. watching a crusty dude put his sex out there like this... makes most people with a pulse wanna throw up in their mouths a little bit. That's just how it is - get over it, losers.

  • @MattMonks123 i think your dribbling some of that jism you love sucking down jis king thats winning

  • @MattMonks123 lolwat

  • anyone know what guitar he's playing? it sounds so good :D and what a voice :)

  • dont want to add to all the gushing comments, but have got to say...i love it- love it all-

  • where does david crosby live?

  • @Tj1056 in my bunghole

  • that weird david usely play an alvarez

  • Lady GaGa,Justine Bieber and all those "Johnny come lately should be forced to watch this and see what real talent is!No auto tune.No reverb. No synthesizer. No back up singer. Its just fucking perfect.

  • This is badass right here. Oh yeah, smoke weed everyday!

  • Wow. Awesome performance! Great job, David! thanks for posting this.

  • Treat yourself to seeing the biography-story of this great, beautiful singer-musician.

What an amazing story. Bravo, David. You saw and did it all, and survived. Total determination was the secret. Thank you for many, MANY years of great music!!!

  • The lyrics, performance and energy, just can'r beat that, not even a 1000 armies. Music's in need of this sort of artists now a days, specially mainstream.

  • Just Great! Great David!

  • thank you cros

  • love himxxx

  • Marvelous performance.

  • I cannot get enough of this song lately! LOVE YOU DAVID, GRAHAM, & STEVEN...AND NEIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF MY LIFE!

  • fucking magic

  • @1dogballs You got that right :)

  • David always stood in between what ever one expects. Breaking belief ..awesome.

  • For all his well publicized downside, the man is TALENTED!!!

Without him The Byrds and CSN would not have been the same.

He is "Pan" in human form........

  • I see some sort of material on the saddle.Wonder what that is for,I've always used bone or one of those hard plastic saddles. His Martin sure sounds good.

  • soulful.

    nothing more to say

  • BEST.

  • For those trying to learn this tune: it's in standard tuning.

  • Excellent sonic's from that Martin..No..? (not -normal-) ah, ya gotta love it!

  • A friend in the recording industry and a headlining band has many guitars of a major brand, none of which you will ever see, because they were built for him, as I imagine David Crosby's guitars are. An $800 Taylor only beats a $4000 Martin if the hands working the Taylor are of David Crosby's caliber. How about a $12,000 Olson.

  • I've watched this video 4 times in a row and you can bet your bottom dollar that i'll be listening to it a couple more time's!

  • David Crosby is a traitor and one day will be judged for that

  • @YouDonteverhavetodie Why is he a traitor, because he questions his government? It's our duty as citizens to do so. "Dissention is the greatest form of patriotism" - Thomas Jefferson.

  • @BayesianMan in essence you're right of course. And 20 years ago, i also thought he did just that. That's why i listened to him as one of his greatest fans. But there is a lot more to csny (and the rock industry in general) than meets the eye. Listen to this: /watch?v=hRc6FRBxpUY on youtube. John Todd talks about his friend Crosby when he was still high up in the industry.

  • epic

  • great acoustic song by David....:):)

  • One of the true "voices" of my generation. One of the warmest and kindest of men that I have ever met. Riding "point" for a "sea" of faces. The courage to stand up and rebuke The Lie. Please don't forget this loving spirit.

  • An $800 dollar Taylor beats a $4000 dollar Martin any day.

    Sorry

  • This voice, this songs....his eyes are always on fire....he is something special...

  • I'll just second dcord123; this is an awesome song and I'm just hearing it for the first time...He definitely has/had a gift.

  • probablement le meilleur chanteur de plusieurs galaxies.

  • still diggin' what you are puttin' down.........

  • Wow he is one of the best ever, I was always a Stills fan but my God what a song writer and singer.

  • He's such an original talent with a wondrous voice. If you do don't know him well check out his first solo album "If You Can Remember My Name"

  • @Jamil501 the album is called: "if only i could remember my name" and it heavenly

  • David Crosby is one of music's legends and such a natural

  • In a well documented argument Stills told Crosby that he would "punch the black rotten stumps he calls teeth down his throat"................class

  • The best singer ever

  • What a talented songwriter this guy is. In the moment, I'm watching the blue outside there's a bruised sky. How the blues descend and rain falls. I'm sure David Bowie appreciates his sounds,

  • This sure is GOOSEBUMP material-----------Mr Crosby this is awsome!

  • simply awesome, i adore him....great man

  • I agree with you totally "dcord123"...I have admired David's work since the 60's and although I am the exact opposite in many of his political leanings, nevertheless his music, his writings, his words are beyond comparison and we have been blessed to have him and his music.

  • where can I get a copy of this recording?

  • @snorkellisab

Crosby Stills and Nash - The acoustic Concert - 0349 70300-2

  • I would like to do a video for this song. Check me out and get back to me. I think it would be a huge accomplishment for DC....

  • Myself personally, I could not be farther..from this man's political views, lifestyle, or attitudes. But...I will say this...God has only chosen a handful of songwriters...that can so honestly transfer real feelings and experiences into words for the rest of us to relate to. This gentleman was and IS a REAL TALENT...you simply can't engineer what he brings to the table. Thank you for sharing this one...priceless.

  • thank you for this wonderful comment it will definitely jewel his memory ....thank you as well

  • @deadhead1065 u r wrong

all his music comes from his POLITICAL VIEWS LIFESTYLE & ATTITUDES. Wake up supermarket dudie. D u know Mariah Carrie lifestyle? Or if u go for technical skills u can even land on Malmsteen

  • @dcord123 Great comment. Crosby has a musical gift given to very few, and although he is most assuradly human in many ways, his music transcends most mortal ties. I only wish that all people on Youtube would have the ability to put aside their political, visual and cultural beliefs and just enjoy the music for what it is. Grant you, it's not all good. In fact, some of it really sucks. However, ripping someone to shreds for giving it a go is not what this is all about, in my opinion. Thanks

  • @dcord123 well said dcord. Being able to transcend ideology and see the soul behind the face is exactly what our world needs more of.

  • @dcord123 I agree with you-That is pure talent

  • @dcord123 we have drugs to thank for these types of REAL human music.

  • there was a vid from this concert i think when he was singing almost cut my hair acoustic live solo, but i can't seem to find it anywhere, anyone please?? :c

  • so awesome, great man, great story, his book is great, long time gone

  • I love this man...and this song.... Reminds me of my life

  • Awesome!

  • ur justs a racist peace of white trash shit

  • I thought dave was dead...does anyone know

  • @7861josh He is alive and well

  • As in David Crosby? No he is quite alive.

  • JUB... and... you can do... What? Let's see your stuff.

  • ...and you can do... What? Let's hear your stuff.

  • I love how David Crosby rocks the long haired skullet.

  • thank you for uploading! it is a timeless performance

  • Thanks for the upload. Happy Holidays!

  • He got his great voice back. Been through hell though.

  • F u too, if it happened with you , you would do the same,

im not gonna remove ur comment but thanks

  • Much better than when I saw him in 84.

  • What I think about this gu is just superb song writer he is , I think under-rated, but not by Bowie who has covered quite a number of his song. I certainly know he gets the blues. I hope he's treated kindly.

  • Man how good is this--------unbelieveable.

  • SO SO SO SOOOOO COOOL!!!!!!

  • Perfection is right.

  • I have several Martin's, but have never seen the bridge hes got on his, with some kind of tensioning wheels. That isn't a factory bridge, is it?

  • me too i have never seen such bridge,

  • @deadhead1065 that's a new one on me also...but it appears to be...an attempt to put some violin style "fine tuners" on that bridge....either that or something similar to a Strat style adjustable saddle for each individual string. OR...it COULD be...an early attempt at installing a pick up in the bridge for each individual string....who knows

  • @zeccahj1 According to David's autobiography,"Daylight Again" his favorite guitar was a converted Martin 12 string. This appears as that may be what he is playing. He "lost" it for a time but I believe he was able to retrieve it.

  • @zeccahj1 it looks like he put some tissue or cloth under the strings along the saddle. Doesn't strike me as though there is anything not stock about it other than the cloth. Don't know how much sonic difference it makes beside not allowing the strings to resonant for as long as normal.

  • This guy's best as a solo artist. Perfection.

  • Beautiful guitar, a MartinD-45, and an exquisite voice. Unique even. I should have said that the other way around. Sorry Dave xxx

  • YOU'RE A MUSICIAN ?

  • I'd love to have that Guitar!!!

  • DAVID CROSBY IS BAD ASSSSS MAN, he totaly rocks.

  • Not usually a Crosby fan, but his tune is cool. He sounds good.

  • Great .

  • Amazing and mesmerising all the way to the end.....

  • Harmonie superbe comme d'hab avec Crosby et puis le son de cette Martin, sublime !!!...

  • There used to be a great acoustic clip of David singing "almost cut my hair" and it apparently it go pulled. Anyone know what concert that was and is it on dvd ?

  • CLASSIC CROSBY

  • "I used to walk around with my eyes on fire"

  • ranger4327, you obviously dont know much about david crosby.

  • i was kidding of course....i only seen him 10 times or so with CSN......i remember being at a neil show, and he and graham showed up, just a few days after cros was released from jail.... awesome "only love can bring you down"......

  • i wonder is he ever did drugs?

  • You must be kiddin, man. No matter how many pipes the guy smoked in previous decades, it's about talent and harmony here, and they are intact.

  • Did he ever do drugs? Like he was paid by the hour. He needed a new liver in 1995 or he was dead in a matter of months. He spent some time in jail.

He's sober here, and totally focused.

    The voice never changed.

  • it did.

    it got even better!

  • sheer beuty

  • After all the substance abuse he stands up there with an accoustic guitar and that

unchanged voice, and you can't hear a pin drop. A virtuoso performer.

  • you mean you CAN hear a pin drop . you can hear a pin drop because the crowd is mesmerized and very quiet . Crosby is amazing .

  • You can't even hear a cough! This man ROCKS!!!!!!

  • A real legend

  • Crosby is 'the' master.

    POONTANG

  • Who has seen the 1985 documentary "History of Rock and Roll"? In it, Crosby tells us he was born to sing harmony. Seems he does melody pretty damned well, to my ear.

  • AWESOME!

    Thanks for sharing

  • crosby is a friggn awesome muso fark yeah fly with eagles budd =]

  • David you are a gift from God

  • Voice!!!

  • nice choice beautiful, no word can describe the work of this three masters

  • He nailed it...as he always does, he just keeps getting better and better and better. I can't wait to see him on his tour with Nash, THIS FALL!!

  • fanatstic quality, and a great performance. this man is THE MAN!

  • Ca faisait longtemps que je n'avais entendu David Crosby !! Toujours aussi bon !

Merci, pour ces quelques minutes de bonheur!

  • yo h4rryF your right, This is the one where he says hell keep it. This is a bad ass dvd. you should def go out n get it

  • does the dvd have a regular audio cd with it? Whats the dvd called?

  • no regualr audio cd. Its in a 3 disc collection with 3 differnt performances but i didnt know about the dvd until 6 months ago. I had a cassette tape (lol) that was my fathers and it has this whole concert on it. AMAZING!!!! Im going to see david and graham nash Ocotber 7th in Dc

  • there is now a CD available, "Thousand Roads". i'd like to see a performance of "Borrowed Time", which was dedicated to Jeff Porcaro, from this album.

  • dude! I bag that guy's groceries! Holy shit! i didn't even know who he was.

  • you do? this guy is in the Rock Roll Hall of fame for Byrds and CSNY....one of the greatest rockers all time

  • lol where do u live master jedi

  • If this is the performance i think it is, just after the point where the video fades out,Crosby says to the crowd "Did you like it?" They say, "yes" and DC goes, "Then I shall keep it."

  • recognize...master song writer ,guitar player performer , head .

  • Why did anyone call Sinatra "The voice"? David is it!

  • Thanks
