nice video good work im a flight attendant with qantas , i work on this type of aircraft twenty five hours a week . one of the most used aircraft in the world. which has an excellent safety record. if the tyre popped . im sure the maintenance wasnt carried out correctly . very sad. nice video . cheers from australia .

It's been a year since the tragic accident. Thanks for all your responses. One of my students lost his relative. Hence, it feels like I have lost someone of our own. I never thought such a thing could happen here in Mangalore. Even to this day, it all seems so unreal; couldn't sleep for days after I saw the remains on media. Let's pray for the families of the victims and hope that such things never happen again.

@hamham500 my uncle's house is at mangalore. it was my vacation then and i was plane spotting since house was near the airport. i saw this crash with my own eyes. after it happend, i could not beleive it. the emergency teams evacuated all the by-standers(including me) immediatly. i was filled with horror.

The weather was clear and visibility was 6000 metres in light !! The pilot made a touch down crossing the threshold limit. and there was no enough thrust in the engine to make a take-off! and meanwhile the airplane wing collided to the instrument landing system as the tyres burst on the attempt to take off.

no. visibility was extremely clear. captain glusika handed over the plane to copilot ahluwalia.(they do this for the copilots to gain experence). the copilot is said to have gone in for a smoother landing(which generally all the pilots do) and is said to have touched down very late.and the plane did not have adequate runway for it to hault in time. what the investigators found after the crashis that the throttle was in full power. but it didnt gain enough of it to make a go-around

They have just found the black box. It's on a hill slope so the knots of the aircraft will increase. It split in to 2 some how. We will just have to wait and see what the news brings out.
