We have great respect and obeisance for Swarn mandir and we adore Amritsar but we should not encourage religion based decorations.We are a secular country.As regards heritage cities, I think Rajasthan alone have more than 50 heritage towns with exemplary history of their own.There are hundreds of cities in india having heritage.This myopic view should not be encouraged.

Yes you are right about the Golden temple, but it was also broken down and gold stolen by certain people belonging to the same religion, there are all kinds of people in every religion...
