@dogfightvj to each his own. The ones you like are Ashcroft's musical preference, and he had less influence in the band's sound earlier on (like with this album). Personally, I could care less about Ashcroft, he's a much better singer than he is a songwriter. I find this song beautiful, but of course not everybody listens to music for the same reasons. For instance, if you're looking for an upbeat party song, you wouldn't play this.  Some people only like to listen to that kind of music.

@Zehydra106 well, i'm agree, in my case i like a lot of music, quiet, happy, sad, crazy and more but i didn't like this one, and when i was looking for more songs of this group i was expecting something more like bittersweet simphony, that's why, i'm not saying that people who likes this song have bad taste, like you say, to each his own :P

verve were a mind bending brilliant band in their early days. their britpoppy stuff was alright, but they should have never deviated from their atmospheric roots. this song is classic.

Was never really into Urban Hymns, i was in year 8 in school when the that record was dominating but i heard Gravity grave at some hippy couples house and i stole the cd im not even the thieving type, i just had to have it and since then i never looked back! Storm in heaven is just a truly epic album as well.
