How come the simulated gunfire is just pre-recorded sound effects in the Japanese version, while at both Universal Studios parks in the United States, the guns fire actual blanks, thus making the gun shots a bit more realistic in terms of loud noises and smoke comming out of the guns?
I agree with you. I've seen it twice, Once in LA, the other time in Orlando, and both times, the guns fired blanks. I don't know why in Japan, the gunshots are just prerecorded audio instead of blanks.
on tat time i was sooo scared because the Terminator is just 1m away from me!!! it is sooo big n tall,by the way, i was sitting at the side..very scary..
I remember when I did this at Orlando right after they opened it, and I was amazed, my fav. part of the whole experience was the terminator coming in and firing off his shotgun, it was loud as hell and it got me amped up to see the rest, good times!

USH uses blanks too. I think Japan as a rule. That is what I was told when I worked at the T2 in CA.

I think the fact that guns are banned from Japan has something to do with the (unsatisfying) sound clips.
