  • The pianist shown is YUJA WANG ... born in Beijing, China; moved to Calgary, Canada at age 14 years; now lives in NYC. She's 22 years old and one of the most promising young pianists in the world.

To all music lovers in NYC this week; Mitsuko Uchida is play Ravel Piano Concerto in G (Avery Fisher Hall) and Yann Tiersen (composer to the movie "Amelie" is playing @ the Fillmore), two events adding to a spectacular musical week at the big apple.
