However, the different levels of ability between Sephiroth's Octaslash and Cloud's Omnislash proved that Cloud's raging passion superceeded Sephiroth's superior swordsmanship.
You know, I would actually like to see an OmniSlash video where Cloud has the Buster Sword instead of the Ultimate Weapon; it makes it seem a bit more "personal," in a manner of speaking.
its an automatic win no matter what attack you choose to fight sephiroth with for the final battle. you can practically stand there and have sephiroth attack you for grins and giggles. his attacks aren't powerful enough to kill you in one blow, its just enough to take down your health down to a quarter or maybe even less than that. if you simply attack sephiroth instead of using omnislash, you will kill him because his health is incredibly low.
If you don't attack, Sephiroth will attack you and take almost all of your health, purposely keeping you alive. Whether the Materia's equipped or not, you'll do a simple one slash counter that finishes him.

when i first played this before i knew u could get cheats online i didnt have the knights of the round table the 2nd boss after jenova took me about 2 hours to fighti was freaking out the 3rd fight he was hard almost died a couple times but when u finally get to that point its easy your limit goes up and just do the omnislash
the ending is weird though makes u think there going to have a final fantasy 7-2 just like 10-2

i had counter materia on though, so i hit him back for 9999 and he died =(

Cloud doesn't have any materia equipped for this fight.
The game automatically de-equips him of his entire materia set-ups.
This is the only fight where the counter ability is an innate skill.
