Nicki Minaj has been heavily promoted for years and sold a little over 300k? lauryn hill sold 426k BTW as a Female Rapper pls check facts plus Nicki (Kim Klone Klown) is hot but still not relevelant. The digital death campaign was successful. They raised $1,000,000. The campaign could have been more publicized but the stars were intelligent in using their star power to get what they want! It was a modern day hunger strike and it worked. Furthermore, they have already done the video thing that Makeal talked about. We should applaud their effort to raise money for a worthy cause instead of criticizing it.

Trashy bit With today's music scene and it's vision for it's viewers and the artist themselves Most artist nowadays do have to be on the "sex sells" bandwagon which makes them look trashy depending on the route they take. For example Janet Jackson lives up to the Sex sells trend but how she goes about it is very classy Same with Aaliyah her street but sweet take on music transitioned into a subtle more sexy classy feel to it and everyone loved it.

The highest 1st week sell for hip hop album (female rap genre) on billboard was missy elliots which was over 200,000 copies then Nicki beat that and set a new record.

Okay Skorpion Sugar! I understand where you are trying to go with the Janet Jackson music!! Her music is very sexual, in all honesty! However, her voice is so soothing and there is just something about the music that makes one feel as if its okay to sing about sex. Its not so screaming and in your face like Keri's song attt all.
