It's so lonely on the stage without Blilie. Great stuff though, Johnny is always inspiring, I love him. I think Jordan's music sound better live though. Just my opinion.
what would the blood brother have been if johnny wasnt there....sure jordan and the rest of the band were excellent....but the bb would have been just a nameless band that probably wouldnt have made it as far if not for johnny's distinct voice, anyone that disagrees is in denial.....dont get me wrong though i do love everyone in that band its just johnny's influence was more pronounced
well as with most Blood Brothers live recordings its really hard to hear anything so its hard to judge. However, Johnny's high pitched counter tenor is really impressive and being able to scream with such volume makes it all the more so. The four MP3's you can get off of Crystal City are all solid. Man with the plastic suns is incredible. Anyway poor video but this could prove to be a really interesting band.
i saw them at the show good energy but turn your micrphone up johnny you were geting drowned out so bad that it kind of made the the song start to fall apart but great work im probley the first one to get booted for smokin a jay to ur music inside the paramount good work
Hey band, if you're reading this, drop your front man ASAP. I've never been more annoyed at a show, even at a small bar. Johnny couldn't be a more obnoxious vocalist. Sorry, but I had to be honest.
I agree. The drums and bass were great, but Johnny yells more than he sings and that's just not impressive. I saw them last night at the Warfield down here in SF and I was happy when the set was over. I wasn't all that impressed.
Yeah, the drummer was a standout, instrumentals in general were fine. Maybe we just don't "get" his style, but I heard just as many boos as cheers, so I know I'm not the only one.
Dude, Johnny really, really doesn't care. I'm not trying to sound like an ass. I'm just saying though, the Blood Brothers is my favorite band. And with all the success that Johnny has, he's the type of singer who doesn't care what people think. Although there is one video where he cusses out an audience member. His voice is unique, which is why he is as popular as he is.
Haha, but having him without Jordan does make the band a bit different.
I guess unique is a subjective word to describe it. I would describe the voice I heard as off-key and uncontrolled. His annoying on-stage mannerisms are nearly as off-putting on his vocals.
"If you don't like them then don't listen to them"
I had little choice. Had I heard them before and knew they were opening, I would have left the theater for the set. However, I made some attempt to cover my ears.

Haha. I'm sure that will happen. I mean, it's not as if Johnny is the main selling point of the band or anything.
If it's not your taste, then feel free to listen to something else.
