@aryankhorram Of course language changes over time, nothing new there, but script rarely changes slowly over time, it's mostly due to war, or rapid socio-economic changes. The change back to old-Persian script would be part of getting rid of something that is not part of our culture.

@aryankhorram Trust me, Iranians where forced to convert to Islam, it was either loose the old faith/traditions or get the sword. There are several good books on the subject, if you really want I can recommend you a good book, I have it in my office and don't remember the name right now.

@aryankhorram Of course language changes over time, nothing new there, but script rarely changes slowly over time, it's mostly due to war, or rapid socio-economic changes. The change back to old-Persian script would be part of getting rid of something that is not part of our culture.

@aryankhorram The majority is still muslim, yes, but that will change, and very fast. I never said to change the language, but I think it would be wise to change the script back to old-persian. Then it will be much easier with just one t, and one s, and so forth. It will be an advantage to us all!

@aryankhorram Sure we have some similarities, but we have much more in common with the other Aryan races, and the Turks of the Iranian plateau. The Arabic script was forced upon us when the Arabs invaded, so was Islam, people had the choice of accepting allah or loosing their head, of course the children of those that where forced "chose" islam and assimilated parts of arab culture, but islam was forced on us Persians, but we fought it, and in the end we created shia and sufi islam.

Second, Persian culture has NOTHING to do with arabic 'culture'. If there even was a link, then it would be the fact that Persian culture influenced arabic culture, not the other way around. Our writing isn't arabic either, it's Aramaic.

For instance, a woman who cheats on her husband and a husband who cheats on his wife should get the same punishment. For instance, a person of another religion should not engage in acts wich might shock the muslims (who are the majority in Iran) but in stead do such acts in private :)

Second, i do not call myself "shiite" or "sunnite", i have done research and found truth and good things from both, i believe you are either MUSLIM, or you are not :)
Saddam fought the shiites in Iraq mostly during and after the war, because most of them sided with Iran and fought a guerilla war in Iraq itself.
He was "encouraged" by the west to fight Iran, just like they "encouraged" him to invade bahrein ;)

In Belgium there was a woman who slit the throat of her 5 children while they were sleeping (one of her girls woke up and tried to fight back), she tried to blame it on her husband. Green movement supporters are only making things worse for iran and for themselves. MANY basiji are good people! they are the ones who defended iran and will defend her in the future! Just because some of them aren't good, it doesnt make all of them so.

They see almost constantly on TV and computer (western channels) that they have no freedom, that their government is bad,... and they start believing it. If you want to get hired in a bank as a teller for example, there is a screening process that includes looking into your religious and political life.
