The game is pretty much fine to me, the only thing that kind of made me dissapointed was the fact that they got rid of Water Stage completely! If they would've kept that one tiny aspect in, it would absolutly be the ultimate game. But of course, that's just my opinion.

Yeah! Who's up for the starting on the aquatic stage since spore hero is done idea? Really, there is not much else they can start on besides that. EA and Maxis would satisfy many customers and finally stop the annoying threads on the sporum saying, " OMG, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE AQUATIC STAGE?" In fact, if the aquatic stage is done, they would gain lots? of money. since there were so many people longing for the aquatic stage for years. Copy and paste on all spore vids if you're with me!!

is in my opinion better you can still do the exact same stuff except they give you more options and for all they care you don't have to use them secondly your spore creature can swim underwater and find more spore creatures to fight or befriend I have played the newest one and I cant wait to buy it.

man, I hate what the company did with the game. I'm not saying that the new version if bad, but this one looks so much better and more like what the game originally was about. The new game focuses too much on cuteness and structured stuff. This one looks natural, it flows and looks like it would take more time than few hours to evolve.

ok btw its not multiplayer as such, everything you make in the game goes on a network database which uses your creations to start off the game for someone else, and all other planets etc are from then on computer controlled

It's actually only 99% of the game, it's basically a step by EA to reduce the stress on their site at the time of launch so that the website doesn't collapse. At the time of launch the remaining one percent (20 MB or so) will be downloaded, allowing you to play the full game.

Either way, this does allow anyone who preordered it from them to start playing far earlier than most people and get the tedious process of downloading with 40,000 other people trying to do the same thing over with.

While I agree it's a little disappointing, it probably means they aren't spending time fiddling with the editor to make demos cooler and instead are working on the game. So which would you prefer, to watch a demo with a new spaceship or play the game sooner?

With as long as the game has taken to even be set for a release date its good they're focusing on getting it done. This is the first game for quite some time that I have anticipated playing AND hasn't had it's release date pushed back.

yeah im pretty sure there wont be cheat codes, and no you dont have to watch your planets constantly. the game isnt fully multiplayer. your stuff just gets uploaded to the game where someone else downloads it. you cant actually go to someone elses "true planet" and destroy them

i've read that the official release date in north america is to be September 7th (the 5th in europe) for both mac and pc simultaneously.

the DS version is very different, completely 2D and simplified.

no idea if they're bringing spore to xbox, ps3, or wii.

its like the sims, you cant beat it. the way in which the game was designed means that, apparantly, it cannot really be "finished". there are five seperate "game" modes and supposedly half a million planets to visit. (not sure how thats possible)

you just need the system spec for sims or somthing like that all you really nead is hardrive space to save others peoples creatures to the game was designed to run on low system specs. i think i saw somthin sawying u needed 512 of ram and 1 ghz along those lines but if you can run games like wow or sims you will be able to run this

it kind of disappointed me with the stupid look to the tide-pool phase, I wasn't to siked about the water phase, and the city phase seemed pointless, they need to make the colors less bold, looks a little goofy, and from what I have seen Terra-forming a planet isn't really that cool anymore.
