  • @OnePotChefShow I would like to kow if you could make a homemade croissant recipe. I have been on here & saw the 5 min artisan bread recipe & the only difference is that there is no milk used in that recipe. I thik i would try it & add some milk because it seems alot easier. But if you have some other ideas even if you dont do the recipe it would be much helpful. Thanks for responding

  • oh my lord, Im getting so many good ideas for quick but tasty food from your videos. These croissants are such a good idea for a quick but delicious lunch, and really, I could put anything in them. Marcipan..drool

    Its such a relief to find these kinds of recipes because being the constant cook in my house, it can get a little "chore" like, but now its fun. Ive shown my husband your channel, and now he flips through your videos, making demands like he is in a bloody restaurant and Im the chef LOL

  • If making from scratch you should roll the ham and cheese with the pastry to form layers - otherwise what's the point? you might as well just stuff some ready made croissants with ham & cheese!

    nway, great tutorial! Btw, I'm just wondering, I used the same technique before but the croissant turned out to be a little hard and crunchy. How do i soften it?

  • Try reducing the cooking time (as it can vary between brands of pastry) - this should help ;)

  • Brush the croissants with egg wash - beat an egg in a cup with a fork, then brush it over the croissants so they go golden and glazed in the oven :)

  • I didn't specify a temperature, as they can vary based on what type of pre-made pastry you use. That's why I said check the cooking instructions on the pack.

  • I just got a big ham. I have a ham bag, but no vinegar. Will ordinary water is ok to keep it fresh?

  • I'm afraid I've never cooked a ham, so I'm not sure, but my tip would be to cook it now, slice it up and freeze it. Then serve the ham cold on Christmas Day. Perfect for a hot Aussie summer! Hope this helps ;)

  • Another superb easy recipe, good to see you back in the kitchen for us. There are so many lovely variations that would lend themselves perfectly to this basic idea.

    Now all I have to do is decide what sort of lovely cheese to use. mmmmm. I am presuming a moderate oven, 180 deg.C?

  • I used 200 deg. C - but use whatever the puff pastry packet says - they vary from brand to brand. Hope you enjoy!
