Rob can you upload rock or metal covers? Because I think it's quite difficult for a baritone to sound chesty and powerful in a high C. As I can barely reach the E above middle C when pulling chest, I'm quite skeptic about being a bass/baritone and singing rock :(... If you could sing Livin on a prayer It'd be awesome to demonstrate. Or maybe some power metal songs... I tried with some SLS but my voice above the passaggio could be used as a torture device! its horrible and weak!
@124235346 Sure I could do that and sometimes do, but not likely I will upload living on a prayer. When I upload these things, there is a lot of preparation and expense that goes into it. It has to be good and that takes time and money. Your wrong about baritones, you can sing a high C. I AM A BARITONE!. These old Classical classifications are just not that relevant once you learn TVS techniques. send me an email and lets discuss a training program for you.
thats it im buying this thing right now, ive bought many programs and yes i can get in to my head voice im not a metal singer but i still get tired i wanna do it with ease and strong enough
@chatclap Great, thats what its all about... making it sound huge and difficult, but really its easy inside when you have the techniques and the training. You can purchase from ( the vocalist studio store dot com ). I look forward to having you as a client.
@roblunte i already ordered it yesterday, cant wait to get started, do you think with this training will be more than enough to hold high pitches without the tireness and with lots of consonants and also long notes?
@chatclap Of course... thats what TVS is about.... but I have to tell you, your response indicates that you are very confused about how the voice works and what you need to be concerning yourself with. Its totally normal, voice technique is the one of the most misunderstood endeavors in the world! My point, I really want you to train with me. Take internet lessons so I can help you to get this all sorted out and achieve your goals. You must of been the Amazon.com client from this morning?
He's absolutely right about 2 different resonances. But the more you connect them together they seem to be just one. The hard part is learning how to "hold back your air" so that you use less air as you go higher without closing off your throat and avoid jumping directly into head voice or falsetto.
Actually, it depends on who you talk to. The discussion about how many registers, even what defines a register, is debatable in voice pedagogy. For the most part, it depends on who's vocal pedagogy language you are referring to. At TVS, we have two voices and four registers.
No. SLS does not allow their teachers to venture forth with too much independence. TVS pedagogy works a lot with laryngeal configurations that are not always "balanced" or "neutral". Typically someone that is trained with SLS, has a good foundation for the more advanced TVS techniques. Im cutting the edge too much for my friends at SLS.
Ill be offering a special "Weekend Intensive" training program starting in January for people to travel to Seattle to train at The Vocalist Studio. Im made arrangements with a hotel across the street for only $30/night... a really nice place for a killer deal. Exclusive for TVS students only.
For you to be able to say that these lessons can increase your range by 4-5 octaves is simply outstanding. I have been doing heaps of research into different vocalists, to pick them out from the genuine who use correct techniques that work from the false who can potentially damage your voice
This by far, is one of the best I have seen among others who inspire me to sing. ROCK ON!
