  • the CyberEvo has only lead the Japanese TA scene since the HKS CT230r Evo was retired, and that is not a "long" time.... just wait for the CT230r-beating SSE evo to come back for the 2011 WTAC. :D

  • @eeeen321

    SSE cheated this year

  • @TraxxasKing HOW did "SSE cheat this year" ?!?!? .... or, are you just REGURGITATING what you read in someone's ignorant post?

    Research before you REGURGITATE!!!

(please go ahead and copy/paste the "cheater" topics that have already been cleared)

  • @eeeen321 to bad man =/ jap wins again

  • @uhtom Oh well, next year!

Not too bad, it was an unfortunate gearbox issue, but still another awesome TA event.

The 298 vs. 248 on trap speed, and the 2,700 lbs. vs. 2300 lbs. on race weight sums up the differences nicely.

  • A Porsche Cup car is slower than Cyber Evo at this track. The Cup car is about 1:33 - Cyber Evo is in the 1:30s. Insanely fast little car.

  • @bandittreeequipment

and the cyber evo is running street tyres

  • @bandittreeequipment iwas there<3

  • I dont get it.. why not just throw a cup car in the mix and win =)

  • @Drkadrk Because that is not as skillful, talented, or impressive; considering the majority of the cars that race in these TA series. But it is done.

There are rules that limit how "race" a race-prep'd car can get be. Some SWC and cup cars CAN race in TA events, and have, there are limits, but they have participated in various series before.

With rules considered, the most capable TA cars are just as quick, and in some cases quicker. Not to mention how fast some TA cars are in the top end.

  • why we bring so much evos?

  • @KhmaiSouljia93 Because R&D as well as trial and error have brought many teams to the Evo platform.

It is not like Mitsubishi is bribing TA teams with free Evos, they don't have money for that, the Evo is just an all around good performer. Look at the records.

The chassis is solid, the Evo's awd system is top tier no matter who you compare to, and that awesome engine, the 4g63t, can make big power w/o huge money invested.

The 4g63 and the Evo platform also have major aftermarket support.

  • Wtf? why did america bring an R35? XD! australia got smart and got an Elise and an R34

  • @KhmaiSouljia93 It looked like they brought an Evo.... SSE????

  • was sweet hay ours is the supra at the start not half way through

  • That was an AWESOME event!!! Be back next year for sure!

  • Super cool! Time attack event looks packed with good cars.

  • lol @ the Cyber Evo's trunk

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love Time Attack!!!
