@mariojulian10 most auto parts store carry it, and well we have fleet farm here in wisconsin and thats where we got it but someone like lowes might have it
@stumpyGQ no we didnt block it out by hand which you would need to do to make it perfect, yes the primer we used was a high fill primer so we didnt use any spot puddy
I bet it didn't turn out very level. U can't make a level sanding surface without using a LONG board sander and crisscrossing your repair area using good sheet metal 6 or 8" inches outside repair. A D.A. or similar will cut down the bondo but it will NOT get a level surface without waves. Can't imagine many people being satisfied with their finish product if they use this technique.
@InstinctTOsurvive we did straighten them, you should have seen them before we started and we really werent putting it on that thick it looks like we used so much because we had so many panels to do
@InstinctTOsurvive yes it will if u put it on over 1/4 inch thick and we didnt do that most of wat got up on there got sanded back off to make then flat
sup. so the trunk on my mustang has some holes i fucked up on the mesurements. so i first do step 1 mix, and after that apply on the affected area and then wait about 30min and then sand again and then just wait and apply the primer and then sand the primer and then ready to paint? :) m i right or wrong? reply back thanks
good tips for mixing. the other day was my 1st day using bondo and I used about 1/3 of the hardener for like 2 golf ball size amount of body-filler and I was sanding it like 5 minutes after I applied it! xD that's how fast it hardened! LOL
@MrThekikster yes this is what you use to smooth it out if the metal is rippled, if the paint is rippled the paint wasnt applied right and bondo wont fix that, you would then have to sand down the paint and bondo it and paint it
@TheMasiker well how deep are these scratches? if there not much at all then i guess u could use primer but i believe that you can use this on plastic just as long as you rough up the plastic with some sandpaper first, so i would say yes unless bondo makes a product specifically for plastic
hey would it be possible to apply this to plaster bandages?
H4xorBoy 1 month ago
Is it ok to use to bondo with hardener already in it? I saw it at the store

Did you block it out by hand before priming? Did you use primer filler / spray putty over the top?

will bed liner stick to bondo?
shem1911 4 months ago
@shem1911 i dont see why not but i would imagine you would want to prime it first

Can bondo be drilled/tapped through? Also, how would this compare to epoxy putty as far as hardness?
Phoenixthemodder 4 months ago
@Phoenixthemodder bondo is not anywhere near strong enough to do that, epoxy stuff like JB Weld is a hundred times stonger

@AllenTrucks All I know is that stuff makes your paint fall off over time.. so less spots filled the better
InstinctTOsurvive 6 months ago
@InstinctTOsurvive yes it will if u put it on over 1/4 inch thick and we didnt do that most of wat got up on there got sanded back off to make then flat
AllenTrucks 6 months ago
@AllenTrucks you should never EVER make it more than 1/8 in thick, or even close to that for that matter..
InstinctTOsurvive 6 months ago
what r u mixing the bondo with, what the red product??
cfsierra 6 months ago
@cfsierra the red product is the hardener, without it the bondo wouldnt harden, well it would but it would probably take days
AllenTrucks 6 months ago
"It'll get hard before we get it on" that's what she said. Sorry I just had to point that out. Great video btw.

fleet farm, i work at farm and fleet.
phonjohnn64 7 months ago
if you take too long mixing it up it'll get hard before you can get it on.
long and short: too much foreplay with your bondo and it'll get blueballs.

the reason why the squeegee is that color is because the bondo when mixed is supposed to match it

good on ya mate.have to fill a hole on me motorbike petrol tank.do you prime the metal first or just put the filler straight on?
ah4fecksake 1 year ago
@ah4fecksake you put the filler right on the bare metal then prime it
AllenTrucks 1 year ago
@AllenTrucks cheers mate....

@ah4fecksake Can't use bondo where it's in contact with gas...weld the hole up
ted850760 6 months ago
@ted850760 thanks mate...i wasn't very clear really,it was a big dent but not a hole straight through.worked out fantastic in the end.
