What wonderful music - fabulous orchestration. Fantastic color in the use of very Russian / Eurasian motifs and instrumentation (balalaikas etc). Watched Zhivago last night and it is still breathtaking even after 50 years - Bravo David Lean & Maurice Jarre et al!
Прекрасно! Надо прививать обратно нашему народу любовь к Русским инстументам. На гитаре худо-бедно каждый почти может 3 аккорда выдавить,а вот на балалайке-сумневаюс. А ещё береста,гусли и прч.
I love Juri and Lara! And this melody. I have just read the italian translation of Doktor Zivago book from Borìs Pasternàk. 615 pages. Wonderful. Thank you barynya from Italy.

Yeah they have no love for the moslems especialy the cossacks. How bought we set a bunch of Don and Kuban cossacks on the nasty buggeres and then see how the terrorists like it.
From what I understand, they were a peasant reconstruction of the more complicated domra instrument. The triangle was much easier for them to build themselves. That is not necessarily a fact, but it is what I have read in several places.
fuck flying V i want that

I wonder if you could do the interlude (at least) of Styx's "Boat on the River"?

Guitars had to be easy to carry when the players were run out of the venue by hostile people who didn't like their music!

I enjoy Russian music and I wish us many peaceful years ahead.
I think you are going to find that Russians and Americans actually do have a lot in common, now more than ever.

Because they are.

Give me a good reason for them not to be. Why is guitar a weird ass shape? Cause it just is.
