there are actually to ways to say love in Japanese the first is aishiteru, which is a more romantic way to say i love you, the second is suki, mainly used by males to express how they feel depending on how they use it so suki can be both like or love

Yeah. Some sort of censoring to make it E10. In the Japanees game Xigbar's guns turn into a sniper at the beging of the fight with him. nd when you fght the Hydra in the english version purple an green smokcomes out. In the Japanese version blood comes out.

"Ore aitsu ga suki datta." "I (aitsu? sounds like acquaintance) liked."
"Aitsu to iru to, ore ni mou kokoro ga aru mitai na." "(not sure about the beginning, but I don't see "feel") it seemed like I also had a heart ("want" is in there somewhere but I can't figure it out)."
"Omai ni mou kanjiru..." "You also [verb is absent here] a feeling..."
People will seriously get pissed off about you thinking that, but you know...It isn't a completely unsubstantiated interpretation...I mean every time anyone in a manga/anime/whatever admits to liking (as in crushing on) someone they always use "suki" like Axel does...!
Seems like when you don't want to imply "crush", you use "daisuki". Don't know why that is. That's just my observation.

To an AkuRoku fan, when Axel says suki it might be taken as 'like-liking'. However, suki really just means likable in Japanese. Saying someone is likable is essentially exactly like saying ice cream is likable; it's all in the message you're trying to convey.
Hey, "dai" makes it even stronger, so daisuki is even more than suki. And yeah, even in english i kinda figured what the japanese text was and... the CLOSE Axel feelings toward roxas <3
So you were going for a literal translation...? Cuz this is, like, almost exactly the same as the English. (Like no way does "Dame da" translate literally to "Think I'll pass." That'd be something "to omoiru," I think.) Except for a few things (like "Roxas" was in the subs at one point even though it was only implied in "Ore ni mou kokoro ga aru mitai na," which sounds to me more like "My heart also seemed to exist," although I'm not great at this either.)
They probably thought little kids couldn't handle it. But I don't know of that many younger kids that play Kingdom Hearts. It always seemed like an older kids thing, since the storyline was kind of complex.
its actualy 12+ so i doubt that little kids would even be alowed to play it. i wish they didnt change it though coz this and xigbars riffle thing was awsome...in kinda a sad way that he dies and all....
Strange how the voice actor for Axel isnt trying so hard.He did really great in the japanese Advent Children ^_^ .Here he doesnt sound too great.Quinton did a better job with Axel in my opinion.

If you notice, in the english version it's cencored. Here, he is on fire when he's about to explode, he burns a bit even after, there are flares of flame spouting out of him before he explodes. In the english, there's NONE of that. And yeah, English = no emotion, even though I like Quinton Flynn.
Quinton Flynn did a good job, I think. It's Sora and Kairi who really sucked. And I like Hayden Panettiere and Haley Joel Osment, but...something was wrong with them in KH2.

Yeah. Some sort of censoring to make it E10. In the Japanees game Xigbar's guns turn into a sniper at the beging of the fight with him. nd when you fght the Hydra in the english version purple an green smokcomes out. In the Japanese version blood comes out.
But I'm still trying to figure out where the alcohal use is in the game. xD Tha's why its rated E10. (Mild violence and alchoal reference)

Well im pretty sure in the English version, xigbar still turns his guns into a sniper. as for the alcohol, its from pirates of the Caribbean. the part where the captain drinks wine or something. (yeah that counts O_O). and theres also blood when he cuts his finger. that small amount of blood is part of the rating lol.

You know, in Japanese, what Axel says could be translated as him actually saying he loves Roxas.
Not that he really nees to though, what with betraying Org XII and giving his life for him and all. Axel! You will be missed. *siffs loudly in a corner*

I wouldn't say that. The translation's pretty linear.
"Roxas ni aitakatta." "Wanted to meet Roxas."
"Ore aitsu ga suki datta." "I (aitsu? sounds like acquaintance) liked."
"Aitsu to iru to, ore ni mou kokoro ga aru mitai na." "(not sure about the beginning, but I don't see "feel") it seemed like I also had a heart ("want" is in there somewhere but I can't figure it out)."
"Omai ni mou kanjiru..." "You also [verb is absent here] a feeling..."
"onaji..." "the same..."

People will seriously get pissed off about you thinking that, but you know...It isn't a completely unsubstantiated interpretation...I mean every time anyone in a manga/anime/whatever admits to liking (as in crushing on) someone they always use "suki" like Axel does...!
Seems like when you don't want to imply "crush", you use "daisuki". Don't know why that is. That's just my observation.
But anyway, Akuroku ftw. XD

To an AkuRoku fan, when Axel says suki it might be taken as 'like-liking'. However, suki really just means likable in Japanese. Saying someone is likable is essentially exactly like saying ice cream is likable; it's all in the message you're trying to convey.

Hey, "dai" makes it even stronger, so daisuki is even more than suki. And yeah, even in english i kinda figured what the japanese text was and... the CLOSE Axel feelings toward roxas <3

So you were going for a literal translation...? Cuz this is, like, almost exactly the same as the English. (Like no way does "Dame da" translate literally to "Think I'll pass." That'd be something "to omoiru," I think.) Except for a few things (like "Roxas" was in the subs at one point even though it was only implied in "Ore ni mou kokoro ga aru mitai na," which sounds to me more like "My heart also seemed to exist," although I'm not great at this either.)

They probably thought little kids couldn't handle it. But I don't know of that many younger kids that play Kingdom Hearts. It always seemed like an older kids thing, since the storyline was kind of complex.

Strange how the voice actor for Axel isnt trying so hard.He did really great in the japanese Advent Children ^_^ .Here he doesnt sound too great.Quinton did a better job with Axel in my opinion.

If you notice, in the english version it's cencored. Here, he is on fire when he's about to explode, he burns a bit even after, there are flares of flame spouting out of him before he explodes. In the english, there's NONE of that. And yeah, English = no emotion, even though I like Quinton Flynn.

yo..this subbing was the best subbing i've seen so far (a little wrong at bits) but otherwise if u were subbing from the english version to the Japanese, it was really good!! P>S> When he says "I'll take on these punks" in the english version, it actually means "I'm alot stronger than these guys" in the japanese version! anyways, nice subbing 4 ur first try

Personally, I prefer the Disney character's voices in English, since it sounds close to what their actual voices are, but when it comes to the other characters, the japanese voices sound so much better ^^~! *Crosses fingers and hopes Squaresoft will release Final Mix into US, with the option of having japanese voices with subs*
