I wanted to kill these motherfuckers so badly after what they put you through up to this point. I remember constantly looking for ways to beat them during the first battle, and ended up being disappointed when I found they were unbeatable. Oh well, this battle was always catharsis enough for my liking.

I used Ryu to cast Shield - then Focus -> Focus -> Super Combo - 690 damage (only using Moon Sword here), a good few attacks from Garr and heals from Momo in between - Ryu - Focus -> Focus -> Super Combo - 655 damage - Stallion = Dead. I wonder if I had used Claymore instead?

I loved Balio and Sunder. The some of the greatest rp villians ever. Up with Sephiroth. I wanted to kill them so badly then missed them later in the game.

Garr is supposed to be 7'5" but he's so short on game.

And it's funny how his HP, Power and Defense are lower than Ryu's stats throughout most of the game. And it's not like his Intelligence, AP or Agility are good for that matter.

I hate the utmost attack, so weird that I call it that, cause I play the psp version and that version calls it vortex wave, the vid for the attack is also much shorter and the things are rainbow coloured, sort of, but for me, he didn't just use it at the end, it was the 3rd attack he used

In the European PSP version they completely changed Stallion's palette from the Ultraman colors to an ugly shit brown and gray.

@Shadowclonesora They miss a lot of power when fused, Stallion can't use Lightning like Balio, or hit with the power of sunder. I always want to deafeat them by apart. (for example when you finish the game's storyline and beats myria, put the option to fight them in the first battle but with all level and final characters status, and can do them a lot of bumps!)

Imagine if balio and sunder see Ryu in Kaiser, Teepo in Dragon Lord and Rei with a Weretiger form XD (its just a dream but... maybe!)

Holy crap how did you get so many skills for Nina? Nina's already overpowered enough with her magic..although at least she can't restore her AP whenever she feels like in the previous one.

Nope, he about did the easiest way possible. Common man it's Balio & Sunder, the guys that have been kicking Ryu's ass all game long up to this point - course they're gonna be a pain in the ass!

haha when i was 7 i had the strategy guide and it actually said the developer's wanted to make it seem like ultraman

i'm glad you pointed out this cultural reference not many people get it

but i found this boss fight pretty damn hard at a young age

but then i realized if you want to beat this guy you need to kickass in the tournament by killing the buff guys on the first fight holding the enemy and then you can level nina up to 16 and she learns ice beam

this fight is very easy cuz when you don't use magic on him, he NEVER attacks with his utmostattack, that was when i fought him... and without that attack he's absolutely harmless^^ so momo is much better than nina in this fight

Utmost Attack is indeed a very annoying move, I recall trying to learn it but then that question mark came up, so it was a skill for the boss only. I try to learn other skills though.

I recall having to resort to ammonia in this battle.

I have it. You have to find something called XMplay and then download the PSX soundfile plugin for it. Download the music off the net somewhere RAW and the player can save a file to .wav

hehe this is pretty stupid, balio and sunder were very powerful when they werent fusioned, they hit 50 to every character with lightning, and after they fusioned, They hit only 15 to every character :D:D: FAILED!

What kind of team to use here, I've no idea but I usually have Nina in this boss battle. Considering the fact Nina yells what sound like negative when she casts Iceblast, I like the in battle voices in this game.

They become weaker then there former selves back at the castle and other times.

I always thought of Adult Ryu in this game sounding like a parrot when he attacks normally. Some skills though just rock as the characters would say the name in japanese.

I always liked the sound of Ryu transforming when he used ascension to change into a dragon in both kid and adult forms. Preferably the adult form though.

I defeated Stallion but sadly with some fallen characters in battle... I think that was Nina who was defeated. So she didn't get exp... But of course that was Several years ago.

Now I might try it and defeat Stallion without being defeated so easily when I play BOF3 for PSP.
