  • boonie may ftw

  • dibiase ftw

  • 2:03

  • @scottystorch thas wassup

  • Kanye should participate in this, lol.

  • hannibal shoulda won

  • Nice slipknot mask... I liked franks beat better...

  • The final beat by Frank Dukes is fucking fire! That's what people wanna hear right there.

  • can't believe boondoc didn't win this one....these finalists were "meh" honestly

  • just one question: WHAT WAS HANNIBAL DOING IN THE FINALS?

  • 2:03

    Fils de Pute ! haha

  • 2:44 - End. DAMIT !

  • This video is edited so poorly! I was there & this is NOT how it went down. HANNIBAL had won the crowd but they gave the decision to Dukes. I heard there was gonna be a TV show and I want to see how that gets edited. I'm guessing it's going to have more of Frank with crowd noise edited in where there was none. SMH

  • why is it always hip hop/ 4/4 kick snare..

wheres the outlet for less conforming composers?

    great beats though!

  • @paralelSun it's unfortunate but i can't think of a record i've heard on the radio that wasn't in 4/4 time. i guess red bull just going with the flow..

  • @miamiwax Yeh true, they come around sometimes... 3/4 2/4

meh... ide just like some innovation! come'on redbull!

  • Love that Hannibal beat!

  • 1:08 nice chick :D wanna bang her :D

  • i was there and hannibal better had better tracks and was robbed that night anyone that wa there knows what i mean and alsoit seemed set up anyway sinc frank dukes came in second the year before as well so they swung the vote his way in the end ! wouldnt be a very good look for the beat battle if he woulda lost twice! im jus sayin tho

  • @itssimm the two beats in this video say you're wrong along with the majority of the crowd

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement - I was at the battle & Hannibal killed that contest. Look at th other videos for proof. Plz don't buy in to this terrible editing job.

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement yeah I've checked the videos, it's the audio not the editing which helped me form my opinion of his music. Same goes for that Deuno guy too many 1/8 triplet hi hats on every freakin beat! Theres other drums out there besides the Roland TR-808, lots are found on dusty vinyl. When it comes to sound in these big tune videos I'm feelin guys like Dibia$e and Frank Dukes alot more. Laptop crunk can't and will never be able to compete with grimey sample based beats made on hardware

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement in the video you see the second time they asked the crowd the first time they ask who wins the crowd was for hannibal so they asked again and they showd difference in the final judging

  • @itssimm Still sounds shit to me

  • Anybody notice that the mask the guy has is the bassist's mask from slipknot.

  • @15MarieST Yep. Or looks a whole lot like it.

  • I don't understand why folks get so heated bout producers wearing costumes or moving to their own music? It seems a hollow argument to me and comes off petty. Yea sometimes it is corny, and some feel they just have to entertain you, and some plain can't dance, but do you stand still when a hot beat drops? If y'all really feel it should be (all about the music) then shouldn't your critiques at least mention the music? That being said I thought Dueno was the best producer.

  • Hannibal was better

  • anybody else feel like cannibal was kinda biting mf doom by wearing a mask and all. i mean his beats were nothing like his but the mask. come on. unoriginal.

  • i mean hannibal

  • @ihavetwodogs - Well if thats the case, then isn't MF DOOm biting the cat from the ST Lunatics? Alot of cats wear masks in hiphop. MF Doom wasn't the first, jag off.

  • @EYELIVE2WIN doom iz way before st.lunaticz

  • Hannibal was the best, Deuno & Boon doc had the hardest tracks. Everyone else was a giant C Minus / D Plus at best

  • Yea, this video is not edited the way it actually occurred but it was a very awesome contest nonetheless. I was really feeling Boon Doc, GMO, Frank Dukes, Deuno, & Hannibal. Hannibal and Deuno were the ones I liked the most because of their consistency but thats just my opinion.

  • There sure are a bunch of comments from cats that weren't there that night! I was there, front row & I watched Red Bull give a BS decision to Dukes over Deuno and Hannibal. The crowd was clearly louder for the 2 of them but for whatever reason, they gave the decision to Frank. There were alot of confused and ticked off people at the final judgements but I guess at the end of the day, Dukes has a better back story.

  • does anyone have the Frank's beat?

  • hannibal just got cannibalized!!! frank just ate him!!

  • The moral of the story is......spend your time making dope beats instead of trying to make up some silly gimmick to make you seem more talented.

  • @i2ivis - Spoken like a jackass that wasn't there. Hannibal owned everyone that night (including Frankie boy). Don't let this agenda based video sway your judgement, kiddo

  • @REALMojitoMamacita Touche! Its a shame the video isn't longer. But producers should be able to let the beats speak for themselves; doing a kip up on stage during your beat is just corny.

  • Made a point of looking at all the producer's battles, even other work they did. The finals most definitely should have been Deuno & Hannibal. I based this opinion on musicianship, diversity, feel, and audience response. I liked a few other producers as well but they did not fit the entire equation.

  • twitterjunkie575 is keeping it legit as well....Deuno and Hannibal in the finals point blank....

  • LexLuthorLuger knows what he's talking about...Thanks 4 keeping it fly homie...

  • boon doc should have won

  • This video is very poorly edited. I actually have footage of the finals from my iCam & everytime & try to upload the footage from Frank vs Hannibal the beat animal, I get a message saying that I'm violating copyrights!

I see all this battle footage from all these other rounds but I am not "allowed" to upload THAT footage.

  • upload it on vimeo or something like that..

  • I can see how someone could argue that Red Bull might have an agenda in pushing Frank to the front of the pack. I was there that night and Deuno, Marcus D, & Hannibal were the 3 people that the crowd consistently liked and they all lost suspiscious battles to Frank. There's online footage of the Marcus battle & the Deuono battle and the crowd was obviously louder for Deuon & it was also for Hannibal. This video is edited terribly.

  • Folks have hit me sayin look at the Dukes v Deuno battle. It was like I remember, close for both. Can't say the audience was louder for either one, so there should've been a recall or third beat played. Looked like Deuno thought so too. And why was his sound so low? But what I really wanted to know that night and still do, is how does a cat playin nothing but east coast beats in a down south house, keep cleanin up so consistently? Especially when other producers dropped some hot boom bap beats.

  • Almost all of them received a deafening silence. Only after a south beat did you hear an audience reaction. Now there's no accounting for taste, but anyone who is musical has no doubt who the superior producer was (at least in this one battle) Maybe energy drink sales are down in Canada?

  • I was at the battle in atlanta & I watched the Deuno vs Frank battle a few times. When I was there it sounded like Deuno clearly won but the youtube audio seems equal. I still feel like Deuno earned the nod & it shoulda been him vs Hannibal in the finals but all in all, it was a good battle.

  • Comment removed

  • was that c-sick in the background at 1:50?

  • Sky scrapa and Hannible were the two best ones! I liked there beats alot!

  • I agree totally!

  • Frank & Hannibal both played dope ass beats all night but this video doesn't show their best efforts. Frank played a joint against Marcus that was amazing & that Mike Tyson Punchout beat that Hannibal played was the beat of the night! Give both these men their props!

  • I agree with JustLost1111 - This video edit is lame but Frank & Hannibal the Beat Animal had amazing beats & they both deserve much respect.

  • I was at the battle & I thought that Hannibal the beat animal shoulda won it all. Frank did drop some hot shit, though

  • Holy shit lol thats insane i was at that same spot in ATL at 1:23

  • It was a great fucking contest! Loved the whole show. Check out my vid of the battle. It features damn near all the contestants!

  • I was there. The best producer was Deuno. Everything he dropped was solid. He had three of the best beats of the night. Hannibal had a couple, and JRell had one. Sky Scrappa had one, problem is everything he played sounded like a continuation of that one song. A few other producers had some heat but lacked originality. Big ups to all of you, it takes a lot of courage to put it out there in front of the world. I appreciate it.

  • Deuno brought did bring heat all night! He played this joint where he sampled Midnight train to georgia that was pure dopeness. I really thought for sure that it was gonna be Deuno & Hannibal the beat animal in the finals. They were 2 of my favorites.

  • I was at the battle & I just saw a video of the Deuno vs Frank Dukes battle and the video showed just what we all saw that night; the crowd cheered louder for Deuno than they did for Frank but somehow the Red Bull people gave the decision to Frank Dukes. I thought the same thing in the final round against Hannibal but it was really close. Maybe the crowd sounded different on the stage.

  • I just saw the unedited footage of Deuno vs Frank Dukes & it looked to me like the crowd was cheering louder for Deuno than they were for Frank Dukes. I've heard quite a few conspiracy theories about Frank getting the nod from the judges because of his seniority. I'd love to see what everyone else thinks.

  • OK... im not trying to be a hater but those last 2 beats were a bit mediocre. Am i lying?

  • These 2 are but the contest was dope. The whole contest vid is on youtube somewhere.

  • Loved Hannibal the beat animal, loved sky scrapa, & loved lifted! Great contest!

  • Frank was awesome, Hannibal was awesome, Red Bull Big tune is awesome. Why is there anything else that needs to be said about this?

  • Now don't get me wrong, Frank's last beat was foolish (completely insane) & no one is attacking his skill level b/c he wouldn't have gotten to finals if he wasn't dope but he played one hot beat vs Hannibal's 2 hot beats. How's that fair or even?

  • Much respect to KazBtheHustleKing, but I was there too and feel this video represents pretty accurately what happened that night. Dukes and Hannibal both reached the final and the crowd clearly picked Dukes. Yes, some of the earlier rounds and some of the best producers are not in the clip, but you had to be there to see that. I hear they're making a TV show, though.

  • @TheNewtone1 - Cleary you're a Dukes supporter & that's fine cuz he's dope but to say that he deserved to win cuz of his credits, here's a REAL fact for ya; Young Seph, the runner up from Phoenix, has more placements than all the producers that were in the contest & he got eliminated in the first round. By your logic, HE should've won the contest.

  • People have been hittin' me wanting clarification. I thought all of the Producer's had some talent. The audience had it pretty correct but for a few exceptions: Gmo didn't beat Boon Doc, Jrell deserved more respect for his 1st beat same for Apollo, Dukes or J-Mac (given his southern style and the audience) should have been 3rd, and Hannibal did deserve 2nd. But for all around talent and versatility D1 (Deuno). Nonetheless, respect to Mr. Dukes and congratulations.

  • one thing i will say tho, is the crowd was crazy suspect. they went nuts for that techno shit, and when dudes like appollo brown and frank dukes dropped some heavy shit it was crickets up in that bitch.

  • i cant believe some of you are serious. i was there, and personally i thought marcus d and hannibal were corny as hell. i was a fan of dukes' work before hearing him battle. i think he was the only dude in the battle with credits under his belt. he makes real music. i think its funny thats it the same couple cats in here jocking the same dudes. dukes may have had supporters there but thats only because people probably already knew who he was from his MUSIC. Dukes will go further in the end watch

  • beat winner of frank duke is crazy! what is the name of the beat?

  • Did you like anybody in the beat battle funkenstien?

  • somebody tell me..what the name of the document second 55 i cant found it yet

and i dont know the name

  • I was there. It was a laid back audience at first. The crowd didn't come alive much 'till the final. Clearly the audience was stacked with Dukes & Hannibal supporters. Leaving little room for objectivity. It's unfortunate when a "Producer's Battle" gets reduced to a mere popularity contest. Not that these two men were not talented, but that all 16 were. Perhaps that's why sometimes we see winners go on to accomplish little, and those out in earlier rounds succeed. Real recognizes real.

  • ??? What is the basis for your arguement?

  • I was at the contest and Frank definitely had crowd with him. If they didnt come there with him, then the midwest & east coast cats were backing him from the top of the show. He really didn't beat Deuno in the semi finals and he didn't beat Marcus D in the quarter finals. The crowd never cheered for his beats but would cheer during his decisions. The crowd would besplit but they kept giving the nod to Frank (I guess cuz he's the veteran). No matter though cuz his last beat was foolish.

  • @FireNthaArcade so much hate no wonder you cant procreate

  • Nevermind, he's from Canada

  • Oh well.. They're all dope producers. The Red Bull beat battles are always a little screwy tho cuz it comes down to how many of your boys are in the crowd. Don't know where Frank is from and if he brought an audience. Reguardless he won and I wonder who he is going to choose to work with. C-sick and Nas didn't live up to my expectations that for sure

  • Hannibal the beat animal and Frank both played killer beats in the final round! Though this video doesn't show the best beats theyplayed that night. Frank's 1st beat against Marcus D was mind bending!! The Hannibal 2nd beat against Apollo Brown was hot as shit!!! This video is edited really bizarre but the event was crazy!

  • YouTube Frank Dukes and 50 Cent. Then you'll realize why he won. Because the guy is good at what he does. Period. End of story.

  • But he wasn't better than Deuno!

  • I was there & Hannibal the beat animal killed that battle. I dunno WHO edited this vid but this aint how it went down! Frank Dules may have gotten the nod with his very last beat but he shouldnt have beat that white dude from L.A. Deuno. Much respect to Red bull for putting a dope ass event together!

  • Ooowee!!! Hannibal & frank musta been a barn burner if they eliminated Boon Doc & Sky scrapa!!!

  • This was a badass contest to witness live!!! just blaze & alchemist totally ripped it to shreds! Props to dux for winning but he really didn't beat deuno! Hannibal the beat animal and sky scrapa were my favorites all night. Jadakiss ended the night with ferocity!

  • Boon Doc, Marcus D, & Hannibal the beat animal had the BEST beats at the contest all night long!!! Red Bull put together a great event!

  • man would i kill to have franks beat. wish i could download it!

  • are the interviews of the 16 beat-makers up? I loved to watch all the different interviews in 08

  • hannibal's shit sounded like everyone elses shit today, dukes is coming with a whole new sauce, taking it back to real hip hop...respect

  • THE SECOND BEAT IS MENTAL

  • where is battle?

  • liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilou

  • I agree, Frank's last beat was cold and he's a solid beatsmith, but Hannibal's versatility and consistency should count for more than a night full of same (or similar loops) and one hot banger! While Hannibal did use samples, he still used them in an innovative way and he also had many that showed his musicality while most of Dukes tracks used what were, IMO, way overused simple sample loops! Much props to all the work they all put in, but I dont believe a contest should be won off just 1 beat!

  • the guy with the mask is like a black homie slipknot

  • Hannibal is talented, however, producers cannot expect to win beat battles by sampling Big Boy and Cold Play in the final rounds. The crowd wants to hear something new, not the same shit they listen to on the radio all day stuffed in between some bass and drums. Advise to all you producers out there, leave the top 40 samples at home, and if you do need to bust it out, at least flip it in a way that makes it unrecognizable or somewhat cool.

  • Oh yea, this viedo is edited out of order or somethin cuz Hannibal played that bully beat & the crowd went crazy then Frankie played his last beat & it was crazy & the crowd was goin crazy for both of them but they only show the crowd cheering for Frank but thats not how it happened.

  • It was a GREAT event and I hope ReD bull does more of em! Frank & Hannibal were my two favorites all night! I loved that video game beat Hannibal played! Does anybody know what that was from??

  • so fuckin lame!!!!

  • So, if everybody is sayin the video was edited fucked up, and it seemed to me like they were tryin to make hannibal look like a fool, cuz i've heard his battle shit and that five seconds of southern remix aint even a tenth or a sixteenth of the beat as a whole, and the fuckin thing quacks and has a bill, its a fuckin duck. Big Tune, ya'll played Hannibal wrong. Frank mighta won, but give homie credit where its due.

  • I was there & it was an amazing night! Kon artist from D12 battled Tha Bizness & Just Blaze Battled Alchemist!

Hanansvoice is right, though...this video is edited weird. That last round was razor close and the crowd was going crazy for both producers but the video don't show it that way. Maybe it's got to do with the crazy samples Hannibal was choppin up.

At any rate, it was an awesome event to witness.

  • Yo, I was there too, and Frank Dukes was behind until the very last beat where he absolutely slaughtered Hannibal. I aint hatin' on Hannibal or nothin', cause he's also mad slaps, but it became apparent in the end that Frank Dukes just had more stamina, plain and simple.

  • No disrespect to ur point of view but the reason why Frank Dukes had more stamina is cuz he aint hardly come wit no heat the rest of the night where Hannibal was most consistent, hittin hard beat after beat. Last beat vs last beat Dudes may have been better, but overall, Hannibal's consistency throughout shows real stamina. If u runnin on the treadmill at 5 mph's for an hour and I run it at 100 mph for just a minute short, who got real stamina? Just sayin......

  • Yo! There was some serious editing done on this vid! I was there & Hannibal was killin it thru the whole show! Crowd was jus as crazy over Hannibal! Not to hate on Frank cuz I'm from Detroit too but all his ish sounded the same thru the whole battle! The only beat he came wit that was fiyah was the one at the end! Ppl can critique Hannibal's "antics" if they want to but dont hate cuz he is an entertainer as much as he is an incredible producer! Mask or no mask, he will KILLIN these dudes 4real!

  • Big up to Hannibal & Frank Dukes!

  • I was at this contest & HANNIBAL was killin' it all nite with them crazy ass beats!!! This video don't show it but the final round was hella close. The crowd was chanting both their names "HAN-I-BAL", "DUKES"...best battle ever!

  • love Red Bull coming from Austria

  • slipknot mask

  • shits hot right there. I wish that track was available on itunes or something.

  • wha?
