@CoDxMonSTeR25 nothing you can do if using a camera. If you have a 720P or 1080P tv make sure it is on one of those settings. 1080i is interlaced and you will see lines. Otherwise you need to get something to capture the signal directly from the xbox
@mastax1234 it depends on your processor. In this case it is running on a core 2 duo 2.0Ghz with 4GB ddr3 ram so it should be fine, but was slow I think maybe due to screen recording at the same time?
Does anyone have a suggestion for how I can affix this MS LifeCam HD-6000 to a desktop flat screen monitor? The camera itself is (yes, clearly marked on the packaging) built for clipping to a [thin] laptop. Well, the clip isn't wide/large enough to grab the top of my desktop flat screen. WHAT TO DO (besides getting a different camera)???! I bought the camera in the Staples Black Friday sale ($19.99), and I didn't see the "Laptop" designation, or realize the issue of where I can clip it to.
Very helpful video Aaron. Thanks. I got it and it's much better a/v than my previous model. But, does your unit get warm when it's connected to the PC after an hour? Mine does. Also, I record in a moderate light and I get a very deep orange color on the face and shadows that look like a 5 o'clock shadow (and I'm a girl!:). I lightened up the saturation (no RGB option) which helped some but I'm wondering if I should return it for replacement. Looked for help at Microsoft but there was none.
@majorinc2 If you want HD 4GB per hour is not much raw footage wise. You can always compress them and make them much smaller. My RAW files are about 4-6GB for 5-10 minutes. I compress them down to about 250MB. I think the flip is a great choice.
i can't believe we have the same one cuz mine sucks. It's lagging, the higher the resolution, the worst the audio quality. I didn't pay $60 for bullshit. My $20 camera worked better than this. I'm taking it back tomorrow.
@deepmind666 Depends on your computer hardware. You need to use the software they provide to use it and it is all hardware powered. Tht is one of the bad things about this camera.
TQ Zollo, my appreciation on yr review. I'm not into webcams 2B honest as I paste & block all the webcams on my 6 notebooks believe it or not. perhaps with this innovative feature, I shall use it whenever necessary esp. with fun chats with the ladies... All the best with yr coming follow ups. let me know, I'm not into browsing the Net so I'll add you to my subscribers list, keep me in touch please. Cheersch mate. ;)
highest goes for me is 360 resolution. pissing me off. im just gonna get a regular webcam cause all these hd cameras are not coming out good on my comp and skype! >=[
choppyness is for morons that use the software that comes with it... trucolour disables settings like sharpness usb bandwidth and most importantly FRAMES PER SECOND. i suggest downloading a 3rd party webcam control program... i use something called AMCAP its an old webcam program but it does alot aswell as recording (i know fraps) but if ur using a poo pc then you might wanna try it
Seems pretty cool! I've been thinking about getting one to stick on my LCD monitor so my wife can chat with her dad.. The price seems pretty good as well.. I hope the choppiness was an isolated issue though.
cool saw some hd cams in a store these days and thought, if id had the money right now, i might get one and do a bs talk video with it. cant compare it with the cam (1.3mp) i have right now LOL

Are you doing this review with that same webcam that you're reviewing? It looks all pixelated and there's a ton of lag. Is that normal?

Hello there.....
I was wondering if i could record using the HD-6000 along with my p.c. mic. only.
Apart from lowering the level of the Mic of the cam down,is it any other Windows setting that might help ?

Tammyj732 1 year ago
Hello there,
I was thinking to buy this to record my lectures.
I was actually considering a HD portable such as FLIP, But then i have 100+ hours of recording to do.
The bitrate on the FLIP was 8mbps and thats way too much comes to 4gb for 1 hour recording.
Could you please tell me what the size of the file would be for 1 hour?
thanks
