  • burt young is awesome

  • The Only thing that is missing from this Awesome scene is Joe Pesci Stabbing Burt Young's Neck with a Pen for asking and second guessing Joe Pesci if they (Non Jesus Believers) were with him @ 1:32

  • Jews and Italians showing the Only thing they're good for.

  • @gfscarface13 Fuck you, you fucking mick!

  • If would be a Great film but it's a Jewish gangster movie.

  • what am I mirage? where's my fuckin' drink, I aksed ya' for a fuckin' drink.

  • go get your shine box

  • my father thought, and i agree, that this scene was profound because of the history of the Jews and the Romans, and watching this just moves you with that knowledge.

  • NE CHAVKAI fat fuck

  • Burt Young get whacked after that cuz he has no matters in the table!

  • Are all of Sergio Leone's movies dubbed over?

  • @bombfestFILMS No, this film is in English but the audio isn't synced with the video

  • One of the greatest scenes ever.

  • Dam Robert DeNiro was fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeee back in the dayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Robert De Nrio should go back to that look. He looks good like that even though he is 67 he can still cut his hair short and have a clean cut shave.

  • Nothig better to see but jew killing and steeling from another jew

  • tHIS IS ONE GREAT MOVIE THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN , I HAVE TO GET IT ON DVD

  • Be easy with the girl :)

  • @yentur Yes, thats what my girlfriends Dad says when I go over there to take her out.

  • One of the greatest mob movies ever. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either simple or a douche.

  • good fella's and casino were garbage they were sc#m bags in this one too though

  • @deaththrasherlou1983

They are not garbage, not by a long shot.

  • this scene says exactly what it SHOULD say.

  • Burt Young is a great actor..So underrated!

  • When I first saw this film I was so disapointed to learn that Joe Pesci was only in the film for just under 6 minnutes of 3 hours and 47 minnutes. Why the hell are Pesci and Young in 4th and 5th billing in the cast? They should have been in this a bit longer.

  • cheesy and boring go watch a real gangster movie like goodfelllas or casino

  • @SicilianGunner This film is a masterpiece, end of story! Anyway, dont you have some rap video to watch?

  • this movie sucks whoever likes this movie are rapists

  • @SicilianGunner Yeeeahhh and whoever likes Singin' In The Rain is a tap-dancer...

  • @SicilianGunner One can only presume you're blind in that eye then!

  • @SicilianGunner Burn in hell you cocksucker

  • James Forsythe looks really crazy in this scene. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • SO LONG TO PROHIBITION

  • patsy james hayden r i p

  • " Frankie,, I'll tell you the truth, even a Jew can't eat this shit! I mean the mustard doesn't even help!"

I don't know why I find this line so amusing, but I do.

  • In the first cut of this movie (about 6 hours) Joe Pesci's character had many more scenes, that's why he took that part. Then it got cut down to almost 4 hours. Too bad that the first version is impossible? to find.

  • @Wazabo41 Did you see the 6 hour Edition of this Jew film? where can I see it?

  • @Wazabo41 I've read that there was over 10- 12 hrs of footage at the end of filming. Leone was forced to cut it down. He got it to six, wanting to release it as two 3-hour parts, but was further forces to cut it down to the 3 hrs 40 min. version we all know and love. Is there any other version out there?

  • @MrHunterman83

I don't know if that version exist or not, but if you check some of the various documentaries about it, the writers of the movie said that some of the Joe Pesci character scenes got cut. Infact Leone wanted the movie in 2 parts.

The 12 hour thing you've read about is probably about once upon a time in the west. And it's partially true, infact also there some scenes got cut. Like when Bronson get in a fist fight. Anyway 12 hours is an exageration said by Leone himself.

  • @MrHunterman83 there's a 2 and a half hour version that was shown in America, that was consistently panned and/or hated by everybody, so you're better off sseeing the 3 hour 40 minute version

  • this is pauli from rocky, right?

  • @ 1:55

Noodles: Why us then, if its kids stuff, why dont you have the kids from Detroit do it?

Joe Pesci: Excuse me Noodles, what he means is that its very simple. But for now he needs Kids from outside to handle it. He just found out that they are going to move these Diamonds to Holland in a few days, so something came up right away. Do you understand? And if you dont do this job I will Fuck your girl Deborah like I Fucked your wife in Raging Bull, and I will Fuck your wife in Casino too.

  • @gfscarface13 Man.....now that was funny, gfscarface 13 !!! You m ight like this.....a friend of mine and I were doing a "Godfather" type scene. In Sicily, when someone kills your dog, that means that they don't care who they kill....anyway, I said; "Then I'm going to go to your house, first I'll kill your dog, then..." My friend says "but I don't have a dog, Don Barzini"....I said; "Then I'll buy you a dog, kill him, then I will come after you.....not bad, I thought.....

  • @gronia Whats funny?

  • @gfscarface13 ...about "if you don't do this job, I will #$@% your girl Debrah".....

  • @gronia Your joke.

    Is that your wife?

  • @gronia Your Wife is Cute, I would defenitely hit that, Yup.

  • Those who said that this is the best film ever have a great argument. To me, as equal to "The Godfather", "Goodfellas", and "Scarface" when it comes to Mafia and the other types of gangster movies. The music from the three above mentioned are very difficult to compare, and to beat. To me, the actors, DeNiro, Woods, and Pesci, is an almost guarantee monster hit movie. On this movie, the story is told via "The Godfathers 1, 2, and 3. This movie is very long, but not boring. A Masterpiece.

  • i wanted to pound Tuesday Weld myself after Deniro popped her so good. She freakin loved it

  • just my favorite movie

  • Life is funnier than shit

  • Life is stranger than fiction. In New York about this time there was a Jewish Gang, 'The Combination', and they were BIG.

  • The movie should've been a two-parter or something like that, its greatness even exceeded the editors' skills and cinema's limitations ... It's a masterpiece and what makes it even more tragic is that it didn't get the recognition it truly deserved at the time it was released ... it's the ultimate romantic movie in the purest meaning of the word, an unsatisfied and unsatisfying story, so beautiful we wish it had been even longer !

  • Jews and Italians showing the only thing they're good for

  • @ GomerDose

    I agree.

  • it was the best thing ever when pesci showed up in this film........the one time he's a gangster and isn't crazy..lol

  • @oyinladethapimpwith9 Dude he ordered a hit on his brother he might as well be Nicky Santoro or Tommy Devito, I even thought Frankie was gonna Kill Noodles for his "why us comment"...

  • this movie is incredible, about up to par with the godfather i would say

  • Godfather

Once Upon A Time in America

    Goodfellas

    Casino

    Raging Bull

    Mean Streets

  • no way in hell, goodfellas blew this movie out of the water

  • Hey, I got one rule: movies with Joe Pesci and in it are good movies, movies with De Niro are good movies. Movies with Joe Pesci and De Niro are great movies.

  • haha casino????? haha

  • Hello Barney. Sorry mate but you have got it wrong. This movie came out before Goodfellows. Goodfellows is a a fantasic film but I'm sorry to tell you the truth but this was out first. Think about it.

  • Element by element, this is the most raw Italian gangster movie out there. It doesn't have to teach some lesson like the Godfather, or rely on violence like goodfellas.

And joe pesci looks like Steve Carrell here.

  • great movie indeed but its a Jewish gangster movie

  • but wasn't they spose to be jewish gangsters

  • They are Jewish gangsters.

  • Yes, De Niro's sorry for not looking badasss enough in that scene. Why the hell he didn't yell 'SAY ELLO TO MA LITTOo FWRIEND!!!' with a coked up face whilst getting his gun out will always remain a mystery to me....

Not nearly cool enough, especially for the people who only see the elementary things in a film as deep and emotionally complex as this. I suppose it wasn't meant for shallow viewers, you have my sympathy.

  • The only thing that is missing is Joe Pesci Stabbing Burt Young in the Neck with a Pen. For asking him if they were with him @ 1:35

  • @OSTube1 LOL. I agree. I think DeNiro's at his best in this scene. He's been in jail, away from these people. These Italian guys are rude, unintelligent pigs, making anti-semitic comments to Jewish men in a Jewish establishment, demanding they laugh at a story that's not even funny--the way underlings have to laugh when the boss makes a lame joke. The whole reason he got into crime was "no bosses"... Suddenly, he's back in, answering to even bigger thugs--primarily to satisfy Max's greed.

  • @gfscarface13 - This is a flawed film but if you actually think it is crappy then you were mistakenly given a brain.

  • @ greatsea

    Relax Old Rent-a-Cop on Viagra.

    Its just my Opinion.

  • It's an introspective journey to self-redemption. Complex and nostalgic. One of the few truly poetic American films of the past 50 years (along with "Days of Heaven" and "McCabe and Mrs. Miller"). Shockingly so, actually, considerng the violence on display. A masterpiece.

  • Pesci was in the hospital to make a deal with Max (James Woods). Their plan was to set up the bank robbery and subsequent "death" in order to get rid of Noodles and elevate Max to a higher position in the crime syndicate. They succeeded, Noodles (whom you call a rat for trying to save his own friend) would live in misery for three decades, only to find redemption in the end (with the symbolic smile) after finally defeating the ghosts of his past.

    It was not a dream.

  • How do you know? where is your proof cause like I said he was just there with no explanation from the movie later. Maybe there is more to it in Deleted scenes cause I heard there was at least 6 or 8 hours of this film and Fat Leone wanted to release the film in 2 sections with 3 hours long both sections.

  • @OSTube1 wow was this true?

  • Rapist Rat Coward Noodles.

Can anybody explain why Joe Pesci character was in the hospital for a couple of seconds and they never explained what that was about?

  • ahhh love Bobby D!

  • gr8 film. long as fuck, though! i can never find the time to watch the whole thing. shame.

  • there is a shorter version that was released in theatres...IT SUCKS!!!!

  • i want jennifer connelly, too... she's a real cracker, and she's irish! :) the best in blood diamond.

also, i watch nything with deniro:

    legend.

  • The Fail is Strong in this one.

  • What i love about this scene is Joe Pesci does a cameo appearance as a mob boss and Burt Young eats like a pig and tells an amusing joke.

  • Legends of Mafia Movies... Robert de Niro, James Woods, William Forsythe, Joe Pesci, Danny Aiello and Burt Young, all in the same movie... Can somebody say: Epic!

  • hey it's Rocky's brother in law, I didn't know that guy did other films, haha

  • Who would fuck that ugly mook?

  • Very amusing joke indeed

  • the best amusing joke

  • Burt Young does a great job accurately portraying a street thug; unbelievably obnoxious and offensive with the IQ of an ashtray.

  • @Clevinger67 "the IQ of an ashtray" God I cant stop laughing!

  • @Clevinger67 you're kinda right except the IQ part, if they were that stupid how would they be able to outsmart the law

  • @jess1up They might outsmart the law some of the time, but ultimately the law usually catches up with most hoods and they end up doing a lot of time - and often dying in prison. And if the law doesn't get them, their lie usually does. Even if they stay out of the joint, they end up being murdered. Few hoodlums end up retiring on a nice sunny beach somewhere. The kind that do are a lot smarter than the type of crook Burt Young is playing there; actually, many of them are in government!

  • @Clevinger67 True, if anyone is the brains in this it's Noodles he knew when enough was enough

  • @Clevinger67 Lol! The IQ of an ashtray.. QUOTE

  • Funny ??? Funny how ??? What the fuck is so funny about me, tell me ???

  • Burt Young a great actor!

  • He should say 'This is my very good friend Joe, who eats like a pig!"

  • Yep, one of the scenes you shouldn't watch while you're eating !

  • that's really funny

  • what did he mean? be easy with the girl?

  • Supposdly at the end of his story he was referring to Tuesday Weld (the same woman that Joe had "relations with", I believe he spoke of a woman in a jewelry store)...so maybe that's why Noodles raped her when they broke in?

That's my perception of it anyway.

  • Joe tells the guys not to be rough on the girl that snitched the information about the diamonds. (the girl who works in the jewelry) but Noodles still rapes her... :))) (maybe to get back at Joe for being such a big prick)

  • don't gang-rape her, is what he meant. just one of you rape her. maybe two. but not everyone.

    think that's what he meant.

  • @57highland Joe knew she was a ho-bag and could see Noodles and the guys were rough edge, so Joe KNEW something would happen, that's why he said be "easy with the girl". The irony is that Noodles hated bosses and so beat the girl to the floor then arse-raped her, knowing that she was kind of Joe's mistress.

  • @GreenDam1989 Guess your right, she was a ho-bag, a real one, later in the movie. But as far as Noodles reason for raping her, I don't think it was that complicated. Just another "crime of opportunity." Plus she kept saying "Hit me! Hit me!" (read: "Fuck me! Fuck me!")

  • @57highland how thoughtful...

  • @1992VoodooChild wait a minute .... you're being sarcastic, right? it certainly wasn't thoughtful, but these guys are not too very considerate, and it was still a very chauvanistic time. the girl in question was a bit on the wild side, but still ....

  • liamolfc.....deniro and pesci are a ombination in goodfellas they are kings sorry...push bad button.....they are the famiy,,,la mafia,,,once more time sorry...peace love..

  • odb

  • it's amazing how Pesci is a very relaxed and cool mobster in this movie, in contrast to his characters in Goodfellas and Casino.

  • Burt Young another great character actor..played Bobby B's father in Sopranos.

  • I'm guessing joe didnt know they were jewish.. lol

  • è vero cazzo.. fa uno strano effetto...

  • deniro and pesci are a ombination in goodfellas they are kings

  • this a great scene. but i can't understand why joe pesci is so named as he was starring in this movie. he's only in this scene and in another one a few seconds, and his character is not so important to the story.

  • Why did you stop it there, sorry but i bet the rest of the rorbbery is great, don't they kill joe or something like that.

  • yea DeNiro butt rapes the girl and then they shoot Joe when they trade the goods

  • sono italiano e vedere questa scena senza doppiaggio fa un effetto molto bello e naturale

  • why was the woman saying no no no near the end

  • Um... she was being taken advantaged of by Robert De Niro's character. Got it?

    Watch the movie.

  • it's amazing how Pesci is a very relaxed and cool mobster in this movie, in contrast to his characters in Goodfellas and Casino.

  • I LOVE this scene. I mean, can you resist DeNiro, Pesci, Woods, and Young in the SAME SCENE?

  • that guy is a great actor from goodfellas

  • The best film ever filmed in the history of humanity.

This scene, particully, is one of my favorite. De Niro, James Woods, Joe Pesci, Burt Young and William Forsythe, all together in the same frame!!

  • @DanielTheWalrus "ever in history" LOL!! Sure.

  • Why can't you all take GF and Once as both being GREAT films? It's a silly argument to try to compare 2 different films with two different stories and emotional contexts to abide by. Right?

  • To my eye, simply the best film ever.

  • @bettirreal and the godfather

  • Sometimes i can´t watch this movie because it breaks my heart!

some of the scenes are like the end-scene of CINEMA PARADISO: like bullits in my heart!

This movie must be saved and protected like Mona Lisa, the Eiffel Tower, Colossseum, Pyramides, Grand Canyon...Its a masterpiece of art!

  • I know it was you stuffgartpargsattell. You broke my heart.

  • i purchase the original DVD .....i try to save it for me and my sons,,(someday)...save it please...(terrible english...ouch... sorry...) peace and love for all of us.

  • Is it wrong that I've told Joe's story to a lot of my friends at school? ;) Great movie BTW.

  • its like the 40's dumbass its a genius movie...why not? lol turn it in try a little earlier say maybe 30's, '40's dumbass' classic.

  • what was with the rape scenes in this movie?

  • its like the 40's dumbass its a genius movie...why not?

  • im thinkin rape was a behavior pattern noodles learned in the Joint. than again he tried to bone to the fat girl when he was younger so he might have been sexually deviant from the jump.

  • isn't that william forsythe at 1:28?? he was also in 'out for justice' with steven seagal

  • that's right

  • Great movie, not this joke though

  • "Life is funnier than shit. Be easy with the girls....I mean it..be easy with the girls"

    Great scene.

  • He's Perfect.. I Love Him!!!

  • classic

  • great haha

  • My friend, a big fan of The Godfather, told me this film was too slow. This film is BRILLIANT. Stylistically and emotionally it's as good or better. I just love Sergio's vision and directing.

  • Some people might argue that it's better than Godfather!

  • some would! Even I but Sergios story and it's direction evokes a different type of emotion than Coppolla's. It's hard because Godfather was the original epic gangster film. So all others owe tribute to it. Yet Sergio's epic still effected me nostalgically, romantically and stylistically more than Godfather!

  • And a bit darker too.....Not as much as Goodfellas but it does have a couple of disturbing scenes which is great imo. Godfather was more of a movie about family while Once Upon a Time was based on friends. That haunting wonderful music by Ennio Morriccone that brings a tear to your eye.

  • I agree. I'm actually watching G2now on TV. It's great yet I find I feel as closer emotional connection to the characters in OUTIA than I do in G.

  • robert de niero is jewish?

  • No, he's jewish in the film. Not in real life.

  • wow lol those 4 guys were jewish too and he was telling them that story

  • I LOVE Max. Woot! James Woods in amazing and he's kinda cute too. :)

  • ^^oops 'is'. sorry.

  • noodles!

  • yeah man...

  • what a scene.... The Actors, the costumes, the music, the acting! absolutely great!
