@rareu4532 That's because this is the first 6 levels of the game. The difficulty ramps up after that, with Act 2/3/4, and then Nightmare and Hell, then Insane difficulty levels as you approach level 60 cap.

@Xinhuan02 pretty sure it's Inferno, not Insane and yeah, diablo 2 first act on normal was pretty much this difficult also(maybe just a bit mkore difficult in certain parts though) but then it got pretty hard in act 2, I mean at least for me those common monsters you'd find everywhere in act 2 that launched lightning everywhere were so damn hard for my paladin to kill

@AlwaysDisagreeing Beta = finished game now? Tweaking the difficulty of the mobs is still something that might happen before the release, this is just delicious stability testing and whatnot. Which is why I never play betas ^^ ...I do keep spoiling myself by watching these vids tho :'(

So the hard difficultly is available before you complete the entire game. I liked it in D3, you first had to defeat normal to get to start in hard, and so on.

@fritzzie123 No you can't choose the difficulty. Day9 just talked about changing to a higher difficulty because he didn't know that it's not possible. It's like in D2 - You play through Normal, then Nightmare, then Hell and they're even adding Inferno after Hell for lvl 60 characters only.

There is no measuring scale for skills and you know it so I take that your statement was a fake question, trying to remove credibility to my previous statement. But, I will still answer you nonetheless.

It should be requiered that the players use their character how it is supose to be played by means of balance. First, the wich doctor looks like A WEAK OLD MAN.. We saw day9 here use the stab very often to solve his problems wich is a melee hero action, shouldnt be used by casters.

@noon3freak don't forget it is just the beginning of act1 in normal difficulty. how did you solve this part in diablo2 as a sorc? i did it by hitting enemies with the staff just because of a lack of mana. i don't think this will work in nightmare and hell as it does here. and the which doctor is not a pure caster. i think he gets some melee skills later which can only be used with a dagger.

The wich doctor should be punished for approaching enemy in melee combat range but when day9's char is getting hit he barely lose any hp. I think this game has tons of potential and I will buy it for sure cause im a fan of the diablo franchise. Ill finish with an example: in diablo 1 and 2 , when u use a caster and you engage in melee combat , you DIE FAST , and this is how is should be in every game to balance the caster / melee hero strenghts.
