I've been working for quite sometime now in telco and more and more customers are going to MPLS circuits.. Why? Well, the security, reliability, lower cost and easy to maintain/bandwidth utilization are just the examples.

MPLS stands for Multi Protocol Label Swapping . Here 2 kind of routers are shown LER and LSR . Ler is Label edge router -function is adding label removing label , LSR - label swapping router - function swapping label - removing adding label destined for end location - So Label added - label swapped and finally label removed and IP header delivered at destination . This is applicable for to and fro traffic - advantages - Fast data transfer due to label based data transfer .
