Hey, 63impaler said you might be able to help me out, my you tube name is mrpalvis and watch the carb video and tell me what you think. Or anyone else on here
Sir, you might want to look into Lightworks 10.4 as well? The program seems very intuitive to me, considering the professional background. Best is that the program is free! Good luck with your choice, I hope you'll post more video's, they are entertaining!
Strangest thing, I really believe in that static timing and my Father swears by it, but every single time I did it on my VW that I converted to points, I'd end up advanced.Just enough to ping going uphill.
I always know it's gonna be a good day when there's a new video from you! I've watched alot of videos on Youtube, most I dont even finish. In my book you're #1
Jeff You Rock, I'm 48yrold and my Grandfather helped me set the timing the same way after rebuilding the 394 on my 63 Olds Dynamic 88 2dr with a back seat that was 6' wide. Just what every 17 yr old boy needs. That car lasted untill the mid 80's and I met my 1st wife in it...Thanks for the memories (My Grandfather not My 1st Wife) Many Blessings...SMR
I know I have my points file around here somewhere, I'm going to have to look...........
I just bought a reman points distributor for my sbc, reading too many novels about the coming collapse of the grid from an EMP attack. You've made me think about mechanical distributor setting up procedures I had almost forgotten. Great vid, Elderly.....Art
A Snap-on man gave me my first points file, I've paid for that sucker a time or two now.Working on a Massey-ferguson 35 some years ago ,having replaced pistons+ liners it was all ready to start. The bosses son thought it would be a good joke to put a large rag in the intake tube from the air cleaner. That cost me half a day before I found it, checking and rechecking my work. The little scamp, how we all laughed. Nice to see you found your problem ,keep up the good work .
is your fuel pump working??

@allenjanoch if it truly is oil and not carbon and water.. then you have a major problem.. either worn rings or cracked rings/ piston..etc
