The part of my comment...Ever see the movie Mars Attacks? ...I thought, made it clear enough that it was a movie, but as you seem to feel it necessary to point it out redundantly, I should remind you that throughout the movie, the Martians repeatedly negotiate peace. And every time they shake hands on it and everybody is smiling, they break out the rayguns and kill everybody.

We don't need to ignore the differences to have peace. We just need to be willing to realize that what we think are differences may sometimes simply be misconceptions about eachother, and that commonalities are much greater than most realize.

If we could do this, it would be the moral relativist's worst nightmare.

It is not in the secular-materialistic West's best interest that Abrahamic religions realize the strength in unity.
