The Sidekick Slide: Review

I've had pretty much every Sidekick in the past - Sidekick 3, Sidekick 3 D-Wade, Sidekick LX, Sidekick Tony Hawk, and the Sidekick LX 2009, and I'll be buying the Sidekick 4G when it comes out- But I never looked into buying the Sidekick Slide. When I went into the T-Mobile store, I played with it, and it's SUCKED. The screen was just way too small, and it has the worst keyboard ever.

I just got this phone christmas eve and i love how it looks and i for one love the noises it makes and when you turn it on the menu thingy circle changes colors i havent used it yet but i dont like the format of the home screen really i think ill get confused!!

I have this phone. At first it was cool, but then i later bacame disapointed. because...

1) you cant save a photo as your wallpaper, you have to buy them

2) you cant save sounds from forwards

3) you can only take like 5 pics and then it is full

4) when i am on the phone sometimes it is hard to hear

u can buy them on ebay new and unlocked and the u activate it and then like call tmobile and register it then if u live in ireland get a tmobile sim and register the sim before u buy the sidekick slide and then when u get the slidde off ebay u can use it away but u do need either their unlimited data or web browser and/or if they have it the sidekick plan motorola used 2 sell them on thier site unlocked and brand new 4 £250 but there outta stock so online on ebay is your best option

Okay, I had this phone, but i just got it stolen :/

But yeah, I dont reccomend getting this phone,

If you slide it up and down alot, it shuts down automatically, and erases EVERYTHING.

And you have to pay for all your ringtones, and wallpapers, and trust me- the wallpapers suck.

but overall, I kinda liked it :)

I just liked the layout of it, loved the keyboard and it was really easy to text on.

you can bar outgoing calls so it doesnt call anyone on accident and that way it wont go over the thirty dollar plan. there is one way to set pictures as backgrounds, you must be able to get some free ringtones and i think the camera is pretty good. :)

I bought this in Australia, and Its the Hiptop slide on Telstra. At first, i hated the keys, they were stiff and small but after like using it daily, your fingers get really used to it, and it becomes easier to use. The trackball is really good to navigate, and i would never regret buying it! Yes, the camera is bad quality indoors but outdoors its actually really good.
