  • Oh and by the way u retards who diss comer. He's a much better deck designer than u'll ever be so shut the fuck up.Without this guy,Magic wouldn't be fun at all.Thank u,alan comer for all u've done for the people who are like u an just wanna have fun sometimes, isn't that what this game was created for in the first place?

  • Respect Comer,I mean cmon.As a pro magic player myself I actually Played his version of Miracle Grow in extended.IT WAS A FRIGGIN BEAST!Yeah that's right, Screw werebear versions, they suck.

  • God this guy's voice makes me want to slap the shit out of a gopher

  • This dude is awesome ^^

  • the best part about this video is the shirt

  • @Fred000124 You can say that again!

  • Elves are broken. Isn't it obvious?

  • If you disagree then watch LSV's Elf Deck win 3 straight games in a Championship Match against another Elf deck. It was ridiculous.

Once he got the engine turned on, which was always on turn 3 or 4, it was game over. The other player just basically sat & watched LSV sift through his deck.

  • @Lightmane321 He designed his deck to be faster than the other elf decks. and they're not broken. that was a extended tournament. but grapeshot... OWNS!

  • @rngstrdoug If that's not broken, then I don't know what broken is. Those abilities they gave some of those elves are just silly, allowing for ridiculous manipulation of the game. but yeah, grapeshot owns

  • that guy with the curly hair has never been laid, i meen cmon man what the fuck

  • @danbell2005 and you know this how? you've been with him all his life? stfu dude you sound retarded sex is not all there is to life.

  • What did he use to draw 20 cards...

  • @yashalycan Distant Melody

  • Then Alan takes 3 in mana burn. He had two floating so he only needed to get one red mana for roar of the crowd.

  • @TheAmazingLiberalist There is no mana burn anymore.

  • @TehPunchface :O what?!?!?!?!

  • @TheAmazingLiberalist They did away with it in M1o, not sure what the reason was but I'm not sad to see it go :)

  • @TehPunchface I am. Mana burn was like... the sickest thing ever.

  • i loved the shuffling part. OH WAIT!

  • Nice one on that. Wonderful deck idea.

Pull the turn 3 pin and boom.

  • dood i don't understand him but looked funny how his move owns

  • he does realize guilt-leaf ambush only stays in play until the end of turn

  • Incorrect, they only maintain deathtouch until end of turn.

  • @uctwist36 The tokens stay in play, but the deathtouch is only until end of turn if the player playing the ambush wins the clash.

  • i did the same ting whit my morefolk deck

  • volcanic fallout...........

  • this is why WOG and damnation exist. but elvish sharpshooter would ruin his day. its ability lets it deal one damage to a creature, and if the creature dies it can use the ability again. that would fuck any elf deck. my favorite combo to fuck an elf deck with is Nacat'l warpride and primal rage. whenevr u attack with Nacat'l WarPride u get tokens that are copies of nacat'l warpride put into play tapped and attacking for each creature your opponent controls.

  • I think you mean Goblin Sharpshooter.

  • my bad

  • i dont understand why people are commenting or saying my deck is better etc to a deck that is out of date. Elf grande or elf ball has evoleved a lot with the addition of m10s elvish archdruid

  • Comment removed

  • Yes... you can... noob?

  • This kind of deck can now rock again in T2, but it won't get a turn 3 kill. Elvish Archdruid is extremely disturbing especially with Overrun in the format.

  • did any of you guys saying "mine is better" "this deck owns his" "his sucks" actually watch the video? he doesnt claim its an all win deck, he even said its hit/miss 2-2 he was just saying it was a fun deck and showing people the fun combo engine he has

  • HAHA wrath of god. lolz

  • ... and then you play WOG.

  • My elf deck is pretty similar but cheaper to build.

Gets around 30-40 elves by turn 4 or 5 on average.

Was standard legal last season - got me a top 4 finish at a local FNM, so nothing too special, but super fun in casual games against lite players!

  • GADDOCK TEEG

  • damn he played like 50 elves in like 3-4 turns xD hes a genius

  • Anyone can do this... I've made a post-Alara T2 deck. His is a little weak. He lets them have 1 life after Turn 3...

    T1 Llanowar

T2 Nettle Sentinel, Heritage druid, promenade

T3 Promenade, regal force, sentinel, sentinel, waves of elves, Roar(take around 30-50 damage)

  • Or I could play the Archdruid and screw them out of mana the rest of the game : /

  • My elf deck pwns his ;)

    Door of destinysss :P

  • you're fucking retarded.

  • YOUR MOTHERLBIASDVJASDVBJASD|

  • VOLCANIC FALLOUT,

    PYROCLASM

  • Alan Comer's a fucking genius.

  • alan comer seems very eccentric with a hint of speech impediment somewhere in his past.

  • his is...however he is a hall of famer

  • i like grapeshot elves better =P

  • by tun three faeries can probably counter anything that comes out

  • nope =D gutteral response plus a shusher or two sideboarded in solves the problem, and jagged scar archers kills all of their stuff. i play basically this same deck and faeries is actually a pretty good matchup with a good sideboard.

  • This deck looks pretty fun.

  • It's the standard version you moron.

  • Elf-ball started out a standard deck fucktard. the elf shit that rocked PT Berlin was a derivative of the standard build. Which this is a bad version of.

  • he never did. He was using the heritage druid ability.

  • oh...i seee >.>

  • This deck is almost full proof. Like most people said a well placed burn spell or counter spell screws the combo.

  • Pyroclasm. Oops, you're dead.

  • well you could hav two of those elvish thingies taht give other elves +1/+1

  • the set up is pretty easy to counter. on turn 2, before he could use that promenade, you clear the board with a little dark ritual-dark ritual damnation combo.

  • having 2 dark rituals in hand and a damnation is not what i would call an easy counter

  • the best part about this dec is the one random rune sang

  • lol yep

  • damnation, firesprout, wrath, pyroclasm, uhh shock heritagedruid, uhh any of the good removal cards targeting heritagedruid....

this decs pretty cool but it kinda just loses...

  • um, cryptic command, rune snag, curse catchers sac ability, oh noes, removal and counters are everywhere, theojshow. Having heritage druid the focus of the deck is stupid, because youll make the deck revolve around it to win which is silly.

saying "oh global removal kills this deck" no shit, all decks have a weakness, ALL DECKS, cept maybe otk decks which are impossible in this format.

so yeah, big deal to removal i got 3 more sitting in the deck lol

  • why does he have 4 gemstone mines?...yeah their handy but its mono green and usually ppl only use gemstone when theres multiple colors

  • 4 Distant Melody

    3 Roar of the Crowd

    1 Rune Snag

  • ahh my bad its totally not mono green :P

  • O.0TT

OMFG. This deck lives up to the name.

  • With Distant Melody if you draw more than your maximum hand size of 7 cards then you will have to discard them at the end of your turn right? Is he using a card that lets him avoid this somehow?

  • No, he didnt have to discard. That all happened in one explosive turn. He didn't discard cause he stopped his demo at the 3rd turn.

  • Somehow work in 3x to 4x Greater Gargadons and I think this deck would be considerably more competitive.

  • Great idea, you're gonna have like 15 elves on the second turn; suspend Greater Gargadon and sacrifice 10 of them, and you have a 9/10...or whatever...on turn *2*. !!!

  • Its also a good way to work around wrath effects. Sack it to Greater and all those elves dont die for nothing.

  • here take 20 lol

  • Alan Comer is a Hall of Famer and all but i think my "elf gernade" is better i dont have red but run a full suit of counter magic and am totally consistent for a turn 4-5 kill at the latest

    my build rocks fairies,kithkin,merfolk...

it only loses to a board sweep i don't counter which is unlikely

plz tell me if ur intrusted in an episode on it soon

  • I personally like Elf decks and I absolutely love this one.

  • I understand Distant Melody is good, but no Harmonize? o.o

  • Thats where Distant Melody comes in.

  • I don't like his sideboard. I'm sure there are better stuff that can attack the metagame more efficiently.

  • Agreed, the Rune Snag dosent belong in it, it slows the deck down, and it still dosent belong

ive replaced boreal druid with devoted druid, replaced the vanquisher with Wort, the Raidmother for conspire which is phenominal if anyone really needs the actual decklist, just PM me for it, and id be happy to send it to you.

  • Yea, can you send me the decklist. I also do not like the sideboard.

  • yea send me your deck list and we can exchange it and compiled it here my deck list

  • I have played with a copy of this deck, and i have to say, quite good.

my only complaints however would have to be the wren's run vanquishers, which as i see, dont really serve a purpose other than creating more elves from the promenade or generating mana from the heritage druid anything to maybe take out would probably be the wren's run vanquisher and reeplace it with probably a furystoke giant for an added effect from spamming your elves maybe..

other than that its a solid and fun deck

  • I agree completely. I made a modified version of this deck, but included more blue. I combined the insane elf production with Opposition to leave the enemy wide open to a flood of elves. I took out the Vanquishers, and basically all elves that weren't warriors, and included the Giltleaf Archdruid for land control. It works like a dream.

  • muy bueno me encanto , esta muy bien pensado

  • wait wut did he play?

    to get all of tht

  • I had to rewatch it, but it does work. Heritage Druid gives him crazy mana.

  • Ive been playtesting this deck and its unbelieveably fun. I wont be taking it to my PTQ's but for any casual player its a deck you must build. Its cheap (only 4 rares if you keep your mana base nice and sinmple)

I Cryptic command you to buy it!

  • Distant melody is how

    3U

choose a creature type. draw cards equal to the amount of creatures you control of the chosen type.

So he said Elf and drew 20 cards

  • you know, despite all that you said willybhewy, i had to stop the video about three seconds after he started talking to keep myself from going mad. I would never want to play magic with someone so annoying; but then, thats why i only play friendly games and not pro.

  • where's the decklisT?

  • That "freak," "hobbit," and "weirdo" is none other than Alan Comer... who by the way was one of the FIRST FIVE people to ever be elected into the Magic the Gathering hall of fame, along with MtG legend himself John Finkel. He's got more Pro Tour points than ALL OF YOU combined. That "freak" could beat any of you with a $5.00 deck made of commons. So for those of you who think that Alan's "crazy" or a "freak," wake up and smell the roses, please.

  • on turn 4, or 5 2 shared amnosity cards will definately explpode

  • heh, one of the more colorful HOF'ers.

  • that guy in the blue shirt looks like a freaking hobbit

  • its elf ball ive been not playing this deck since heritage druid was leagl

  • well since he is in magic hall of fame and i gyues u are not, then i would bet on him. i've just built the deck, will try it at fnm's, don't have any high hopes, but the guys at the store will have a blast when i tell them i got this deck from Alan Comer :D cause he really is crazy.

  • Actually Alan Comer never won a pro tour but hes just an eextarordinary deck designer and came up with great decks such as miracle gro

  • This deck was posted on Youtube by some armatures a long time ago. They also featured a merfolk mill version.

  • Looks definetly like an Alan Comer deck...

  • wut card does he use to draw 20 cards

  • Distant Melody

  • Distant Melody- Draw cards equal to the number of creatures of a chosen creature type you control.

    He chose elves

  • Holy shit. I just comboed for about 350 damage on turn 4. Rareless fun-to-play combos are amazing.

  • can someone say PYROCLASM?

  • HURLEY-BURLEY!

  • unfucking real. I wonder if he's got furystoke giant in there as an alternate win condition with his elves

  • sounds like a rareless combo deck. Not too many of those.

  • what card did he play after the three elvish promenades?

  • Roar of the Crowd.

Choose a creature type, Roar of the Crwod deals damage to target creature or player equal to the number of creatures that you control of that type.

  • wow this guys voice is hilarious. Perfect magic player

  • mental...

  • I have definitely seen Heritage Druid getting used more and more these days.

  • Thanks for the tip sand tricks and video.

  • This deck looks pretty fun.
