  • this poor bastard cant even spell job but at least he tries LOL

  • Little Britain is good too IMO

  • Excellent and funny sketch. The 'Ross' character gives the false imoression that the DWP actually give a damn! The 'Pauline' character is spot-n, a condescending, bullying and disrespectful person, who would either be a 'Traffic Warden', or in prison, if she did not work for the DWP. The clever point about this sketch is that those who have to live on benefits have no rights. The best kind of humour educates as well as entertains.

  • no comedy compares.little britain is not as good as this. this seems very real.fantastic acting

  • This isn't comedy it's a Documentary of a real job club.

  • I'm pretty sure I met the woman who Pauline is based on when i was on the dole. Shearsmith's old restart officer back in the day apparently... Same person or not, she was a bitch!

  • fireman!

  • so, so good

  • Classic, spot on

  • love the accent of the the one that says 'Football player'.

  • Fireman!!!

  • I'm on a JHP Employability course + today we had EXACTLY that task!

Except that it was made absurdly complicated. We had to name 5 multinational retail companies, 5 retail companies that are nationwide, 5 medium size chains and 5 charity shops. Then we had to think of 5 types of job people could have in each one. Then we made a list as a class of all the types of job in the retail sector in general.

  • @LLydarth Today we had an even more informative lesson. We were learning about trading standards laws and were given a leaflet, the first page of which had the title 'Who Makes Laws?'.

  • @LLydarth I find it interesting that you feel in a position to berate what anyone else does for a living.

  • That's ridiculous.. Tots TV isn't on anymore, it's Spongebob I watch.

  • This is pretty much my life atm, can't find a more apt way of describing it to people.

  • 'Can you fink of a job Mickey love?'

  • Thought it was quite clever that he said spy considering that he is one.

  • Okey kokey pig in a pokey!

  • Mickie is my fave that smile cracks me up

  • This is highly amusing. All joking aside though, the real thing is only marginally better.

  • Before they got into TV, a couple of them attended mandatory New Deal and A4e courses, but is is hilarious to see they way they bring out the sarcastic nature of our draconian work programs to such comic effect. It has almost become a crime to be unemployed in England, capital of Pakistan.

  • it's a shame this sort of comedy isn't on tv anymore. Everyone seems to be aiming for the mass market and 'breaking' america. Who gives a fuck whether americans find our stuff funny.

  • Little Britain absolutely ripped this off with their Fat Club routine - but this is much funnier.

  • @costell0 Little Britain was about a mix between ripped off sketches from The Simpsons and League Of Gentlemen, fuck all original

  • "you worthless dole scum "

  • yeah little britan was a copied a bit off this...this is legenadary!

  • Fireman!!

  • Does anyone notice how Ross mentions Baker when it's the first on the list? XD

  • He's quoting the nursery rhyme rub-a-dub-dub. three men in a tub and all that.

  • Fireman

  • Ironic that you often see the same people who were 'leading' these sessions signing back on again alongside you a few months later.

Totally useless waste of time with a patronising attitude from the so-called staff. It's not even as funny as this.....

  • hahah, seen how she says

    'guuuuwd'

    pahah.

  • "You can shout out as many jobs as you like Ross - you're never gonna bloody get one, you worthless dolescum!"

  • I'm sure this character was the reason for fat fighters Majorie on Little Britain

  • an astronought...PISS OFF!!

    haha love that bit..

  • the way she says 'piss off!' hahaha i love this.

  • i had to go to one of these meetings the other day and im ashamed to say this is exactly what its like, lmao

  • I was due for one but I got a college course.

  • I saw Benefit Busters too and immediately thought of Pauline. Those people were stitched up good and proper by Channel 4. Nothing says stupid and lazy like fat northerners does it? Coz of course there's no one like that in the south.

  • terrible firm that A4e - big bonus fiddle , that fat cow is just a jumped high pressure sales woman

  • ahah yes benefit busters!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @lordgallop

I couldn't bring myself to watch a programme like that. The 'Benefit Buster' seemed to be a female version of Jeremy Kyle.

  • paulines alive and well and working for benefit busters

  • i heard she got fired after the show aired

  • lol i love it when ross says" newsagents" OHH so moody lol

  • Kin class. Every time I watch the DVD I piss myself.
