  • Remember this from the 80's underrated sci fi film.

  • "What will you do if you are one of the last people on earth?" .....Trailer show us that if they are 2 women they do shopping, like any other day....

  • @BoscoBlood and get some mac 10's..

  • This movie was such a piece of crap. Plus it had the worst soundtrack of any movie I have ever seen.

  • What's this movie called again? The trailer didn't make it clear to me...

  • @eydukackbratze night of the comet

  • @arcadeshopper rofl :-D

  • Just watched this on Netflix Instant stream.

    So cheesy!

  • This was the very first horror/zombie movie I ever saw, I was 6. It was on HBO. Watched it every chance it got on a VHS tape my Dad recorded for me. Finally got to rent it from Netflix and see it with out any snow for the 1st time in years. Still one of my faves after all these years...

  • This will be on Netflix Instant stream starting July 1 2011.

  • I love this movie... got an original VHS copy that's still in pretty awesome condition considering I bought it from a rental store that was trying to unload their videotapes for DVD shelf space.

This flick is almost a guilty pleasure of a fantasy for me like, yeah I'd love to have an entire department store to myself to take what I want. lol

  • This is an 80's pop-corn coated classic! Also check out Prom Night 2 Hello Mary Lou, a kind of Carrie late 80's Prom Queen revenge flick...outrageously cheesy.

If you buy this, be sure it's in high definition digital: the colors are oustandingly 80's!!! The BEST WORST 80's film goes to BODY ROCK!!! This has to be seen to be believed. I purchased about 10 copies (they were going for $2.oo each): perfect Christmas presents for friends and family! Be warned: they may never speak to you again.

  • Voice of the narrator sounds like the guy who did Optimus prime back then...prob is,

  • 80's b-movies you just can't beat them

Disclaimer- not seen this film since the 80s

  • i watched this a couple of years ago. i remember i mildly enjoyed it for its 80's flavor

  • Ohh my gosh! I haven't seen that movie for a longgg time! Loves it! its little bit like Zombieland but only by comet.

  • This movie was much better than the trailer would suggest.

  • Night of the Comet is closer to Zombieland than I am Legend.

  • I am Legend and Omega Man are very scary. I have yet to see The Last Man on Earth. Vincent Price is the horror king!

  • COMET ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely LOVED this movie ever since I first saw it and now own it!!

  • I got to meet the main girl! this movie is great!

  • LOVE this movie. So 80's and fun . I can't watch is over and over.

  • this was no oscar winner, but it's funny and it's entertaining, and its fun to look back at some 80's fashions.

  • A silly copy of the uk original movie:

    A Quiet Earth!

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!

  • Yes it did seem creepier back in the day...how all the people got turned into powder by the comet...used to freak me out. Now it's just really campy, but still great!!!

  • I could of sworn this film was a whole lot more scarier. Ha Ha. It could've just been the little kid in me, 20 years ago. Ha Ha.

  • Wow. I really don't miss the 80's...

  • Now I see where they got the idea for I Am Legand, from a goof-ball 80's teen movie. Hollywood is so full of talentless dip shits now, the only ones left being in CGI production.

  • @germanicelt I am legend is a lot older.. since based on a book written in 1954. It's the 4th theatrical movie based on that book, the others beeing Omega Man in 71 and The Last Man On Earth in 64..

  • @arcadeshopper

Don't you mean the 3rd theatrical movie based on Richard Matheson's novel? Or was there another version that's older than the Vincent Price one?

  • @compsciguy got me that was 5 months ago! :) probably a typo.. better late than never

  • @arcadeshopper Actually, there was another adaption that was straight to video called I Am Omega.

  • @compsciguy Actually there was. A 60s film. "The Last Man on Earth." (1964)

  • @germanicelt EVERY movie about being "the last on earth" gets compared to I Am Legend on Youtube, no matter how distinct or original the plot beyond that loosely univeral premise....Omega Man, Max Max, even Last Man On Earth. It doesn't make a very strong case for the creative imagination of the audience, in my opinion.

  • I never heard of this movie till I saw it on Amazon just now. I recognize that beautiful chick from The Last Starfighter. I love these zainy retro 80's movies, and I'm gonna enjoy watching this movie on a quiet Friday night just for nostalgia.

  • I wish Chris Pedersen (from the movie Suburbia) had been in it longer. I think he only had one line.

  • One of my all time favorites, it's horror, sci-fi and sometimes funny. Dark and creepy too.

  • Night Of The Comet, Trailer. This is yet another science fiction films from the writers of the 1970s. A comet destroys most of human life, leaving two teenager valley girls to go mall shopping facing the box boy survivors, and the being hunted for some kind of immunity factor, or just sex. Science fiction.

  • I loved this movie, especially the scene where they go to the mall and get all those great clothes. Such a funny zombie movie!

  • This is on tv right now

  • reggie one hell of a bitching chick

  • I love Robert Beltran especially when he played the role of Commander Chakotay on Star Trek Voyager. This man is a really handsome man. It's good to see movies that making you thinking about, What ifs? Pretty interesting:)

  • lol im taking requests from all you teenage comet zombies! XD

  • this is sure good quality compared to some of the stuff on the sci fi channel now.

Even the acting is quite good. I understand sci fi channel uses a lot of new and upcoming actors but sometimes the actors they have are quite bad.

however these girls are really quite good.

  • This is a great B-Movie!! Funny, sarcastic 1 liners ala 2 valley girl sisters who survive the destruction of the world from Haley's Comet. Part creepy zombie movie, part valley girls humor. Bitchin'!!

  • @somebutthead It's already a B-movie. How could it possibly get any worse? :) Oh wait.... things never go well when someone asks that....

  • thats the great thing about them.

  • hey, chakotay is in this!

  • I thought this was a zombie movie? is the reference I got telling me this a lie, or is this trailer a lie? lol

  • its a comet zombies attack valley girls movie

  • yeah saw a few other clips from it, the zombies talk? lol, I will prolly pass on this movie.

  • The people go through phases of deterioration. Some people barely turning into zombies talk and others are your typical violent mute zombies.

  • @S0c0J0e yeah there are zombies in this, but hardly any.. its more like 28 days later

  • @S0c0J0e It's a zombie movie, but it's a VERY SILLY one.

  • @S0c0J0e The trailer is bad, like most pre-90's trailers. But the film is legendary!

  • yea baby this one rocked you know they are making part 2 its going to be sweet

  • was told this was a horror- this ad makes it look like a light hearted buddy movie lol

  • exactly what i was thinking.

amazon suggested i buy this because of my recent purchases.... i dont get it.

  • remember this as a kid, loved it, great film

  • if you are on Facebook - both have official Fan pages in the groups section

  • actually brill :)

  • I love 80s B movies

  • I think WHEN (cuz they will) they remake it,they need to take the teen only suvivors out and have some older characters, maybe a doctor or something, so we can get more info on what happened. It should also be marketed as a horror movie with more zombie interaction. This one to me just felt like any other 80's comedy, it was a trailer you could watch after sixteen candles and you wouldn't know the diference. I liked it, but it could get better I thik.

  • A remake would be awesome as long as they kept they it campy. I don't mind more zombie action as long as they don't go all out horror and lose the funny. it's doable, just look at Shaun of the Dead.

  • what ever happened to catherine mary stewart? she was in the last starfighter then disappeared. she was the perfect 80's girlfriend...

  • she still works in TV.. look her up on IMDB

    and she's hotter than ever!

  • Wasn't she on 7th Heaven?

  • lol great.

  • I told you... I can't have you taking one of my men hostage!

  • I saw this on tv a while ago and thought it was awesome. Love the 80s movies.

  • Moved up in my Nteflix queue

  • My all time fave movie! Totally Awesome!

  • ho sweet can i get this on blueRay? ; )

  • This was a great movie!! I remember it so well. 28 days later was just sooo much better though.

  • This was one of those "it's so bad, it's good" type movies. Lame as hell but fun to watch!

  • i love this movie! officially, it is a cheesey movie from the "early eighties". does that mean i am a stupid 31 yr old?

  • naw dude.this movie was sooo great,of course i was a kid, like 12 when i seen it on cable back in the 80s'.

  • _Dawn of the Dead_ lite

  • Love Love Love this movie ....Check out my chanel I just posted most of the rare songs for everyone ...hope you enjoy =)

  • I was so glad to find it on DVD a few months ago...love the 80's «ô¿ô»

  • i neever understood this, was this a horror movie, or a comedy, i know it had zombies, and i saw it before, and it had a bit of return of the living dead sence to it

  • It's an action movie, with zombies and some toungue in cheek moments.. "daddy would have got us Uzi's"

  • It's campy horror. There were loads of those in the 80's. Such a great time for B-movies.

  • @GoldenValorForm It's both horror and comedy. Yes, horror-comedies do exist.

  • I remember watching this movie when I was like 12. I love this movie! Yay! ^_^

  • Catherine Mary Stewart is so freaking hot!!

  • This is so cool!

  • The whole world is celebratin'! What a great song!

  • I love this campy movie from the 80s.

  • I saw this the other night. It has Captain Chakotay from the starship Voyager in Star Trek. I love this movie!!

  • i have this movie i watch several times

  • Whats the name of the song played in the trailer?

  • The one with lyrics?

    Whole World Is Celebratin'

Written by: Chris Farren, Wayne Crawford

    Performed by: Chris Farren

  • Thanks.

  • Hector is hot when he wears the cowboy outfit

  • LONG LIVE OPTIMUS PRIME

  • Whatever happened to these people?

  • They lived, saved two kids, and played catch

  • they made the new world. with good looking childern they made a cult.. lol

  • Daddy would have gotten us Uzi's.

  • This movie rocks. 5/5

  • Optimus Prime is talking! LOL

  • man I just watched this movie last night, I liked it but I don't have enough text space to tell you my own weirdness with this movie.

  • I Think They Should Remake It, Its a Awesome Movie And More People Need To See It

  • The mall scene...Do you smell "Omega Man" or what?

  • Like it's totally 80's! Oh My God, Gag me with a spoon :) No really I loved this movie.

  • This movie is so classic. I love Catherine mary Stewart. I always wished I looked like her. Isn't she so beautiful?

I think I'm about her age when she made this movie. lol.

Great clip. I use to have a crush on Robert Beltran. haha

  • A cult classic.

  • this movie is creepy. in its own way such a classic why is this narrarator sound so weird.

  • A couple weeks ago, the evening sky out where I lived looked in such a way, that I felt like I was living in the aftermath portion of Night of the Comet. It felt so weird. That omninous yellow-reddish hue.

  • you must live in AZ or southern cali, i wish i was there im in dreadful cold ohio!

  • I loved this movie so much. My son is now 14 months old and I have been trying to remember the name of this movie since I was pregnant with him. That's quite a while. I finally found out what it was tonight. I'm ecstatic now. I want to watch it again. Thank you for posting this trailer. I enjoyed it. It summarized the movie well. I wish they still played this on daytime TV or even nighttime TV.

  • they do on the scifi channels and tbs.. It's on all the time. course not in the next two weeks according to tvguide.. ack! there's a news blurb about them producing a sequel!! please no!

  • It's on SciFi channel right now.. Feb 17, 2008 @ 2 A.M.

  • Night of the Comet fan site at nightofthecomet dot info

  • Thanks for posting this! I loved this movie. I'll have to get it on DVD if it's available.

  • yes it is on dvd, i got mine as i commented previously

  • the narrator sounds like optimus prime rofl

  • Same voice actor, Peter Cullen.

  • I call it Night of the Collar because so many people are wearing collared shirts in this movie.

  • i kno yould think this movie was made in the 50's. I did teee heee

  • The film was made in 1984.

  • Oh man, this has go to be one of my most FAVORITE films of all time!

  • This is so cool! I can't help but wonder why this movie is never a rerun on the Sci-Fi channel, TNT or Spike as it's been years since I've seen this. The male acter went on to play a Chakotay in Star Trek: Voyager.

  • Night Of The Comet has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. I always thought it was a really great movie blending terror and humor fantastically. I'm so glad you posted this trailer. I've never seen it before. Thank-you.

  • I got mine! Nice print, widescreen, no extras though..

  • This movie was frightening and hysterical at the same time. I loved Catherine Mary Stuart and Robert Beltran:)
