  • Is the prop ok?

  • One your controller is way to close to the plane second you keep reaching over the engine and third by a plane stop so you don't have too hold the plane

  • hey, I hear Jeff Dunhams doll Walter.... DUMBASS !!!!!!

  • There has to be a safer way of doing that. if its not flying does it need the propeller blades attached?

  • came close to doing that with my F4F.... managed to chop off my transmitter antenna instead of my fingers... those things are sharper that would be expected in my opinion...

  • oh u silly goose

  • i hate gas planes for that reason, not pretty

  • i didn't expect the right finger at all ...i was thinking his left arm right on the elbow joint where the veins are when he was reaching over is where he's gonna be cut as he was doing it 2 or 3 times

  • Saw that coming from the very start. Way to fast and over confident.

    Sorry

  • Took off the corner of my finger not paying attention... Felt Awesome

  • hopefully your ok mate!

Got the my finger damaged by a 6*4 apc...and what looks like a small touch its worse then a slice machine! not one but 3 cuts in less then a second!

hope that hungry prop didn't damage your hand for good!

  • safety should be observed properly... a responsible flyer uses safety as his rule to fly... be careful to yall flyers...

  • no offence to this chap and i really do feel for him but i could see it happening by the way he was slap happy around the prop from the beginning and leaning over it.

  • dude lol i have the same plane slow tiger mustang lolz it's funny to watch this video cause i did the same thing the other day cut 3 of my fingers now i got like 4 and 5 stiches on each finger plus broken nail. the resion is my buddy let go of the plane tali at full throttle and i was in front.shit that felt num right after but won't stop bleeding.u put ur finger in it dude take your time when working arround the prop it could have been worst and have fun flying cause it;s worth it. cheers

  • @tdotmostwanted

That sucks man, gotta keep it safe!

  • .......retard...... (not you the guy)

  • i have an idea, put all your gear on your rigth side of the plane when you are sitting on the rigth side.

  • ahaha - i could see this coming.......what are you doing reaching ova the prop like that in the first place?...still you only do this ONCE......umm....right sonny?

  • props are dangerous

here in the netherlands i heard a guy on an rc plane club lost 2 vingers

    by starting a prop....be carefull!

  • @kopjesenseo could have been worse, he could have lost 2 fingers....

  • HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just lucky you never caught your arm as it passed very close over the prop, there is a lot ot veins and nerves in there to slice through

  • This realy hurt... 3 weeks ago I stoped the engine, with 2 fingers. The prop was APC, they are really sharp.

  • you could just tell that was going to happen lol oops

  • Oof, I bet that hurt for days

  • idot

  • Bet he didnt do any more flying that day...

  • ARRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHh

    I felt that too

  • was it an APC? those fuckers are sharp as hell. I gashed myself good last year handproppong my saito! the stick slipped, and my palm went right into the back edge of the blade! 19 stitches later.......

  • I use my old broken APC's as box cutters. I hope I never get my hand in one when it's spinning...*shudder*

  • ya that's about right! I have no idea why they come so damn sharp, but now ever one I buy I slightly round over the back edge of the blade. I can't even use a foad stick for my saito when it's runnin an APC, I gotta use a custom made pine one!!!

  • APC stands for Alot of Pain Concentrated lol

  • been there, done that:-P

  • yeah... thats guna hurt.... bad

  • Get a restraint and do not reach around the prop. every one tels me this at my field but i take little notice. I have now. Thanks for the vid it should stop similar accidents. At least u can still count to 10 :)

  • ouch !! but you were asking for it with the transmitter their and all the reaching going on any way hope you are ok, a painfull lesson to learn.

  • Smuck

  • I have seen worst than that , hope u r ok dude!

  • Ouch! :0

  • Don´t do that!

  • jesus christ! put the radio on the other side and the flight box. DONT REACH OVER THE PROP! ahhh that was scary man. i thought you were gonna slit your wrist. hope your OK.

  • Your lucky!By rights you sould have slit your wrist about 4 times before the hit!I take it your new to nitro?Or drunk?

  • You should always put your field box on the same side you're on. That guy could've easily committed suicide right there, that was so close to slashing all of the veins, arteries, and tendons in his wrist!

  • Oh man, seen that coming... I've always been ULTRA careful and aware around my planes... No lose clothing etc. Thats probably my biggest fear with these things... Besides getting them on the ground in one piece :P But so far so good, haven't lost a plane yet knock on wood.

  • I lost a plane once. I was doing a upward spiral move when i lost contact with the plane. Turns out I put the wrong batterypack in it so it ran out of power. The damn thing kept going up and up and up in a spiral move until i couldnt see it anymore.

Lucky it was a cheap one.

  • did you ever find it, well the pieces? was it gas?

  • Yes I did. I had a sticker with my contact info on the fuselage. This old guy found it floating in a lake. The fuselage suffered no damage from the crash but the water had corroded everything else.

  • ...Yes it was gas.

  • oh sorry i commented on the wrong vid lol i feel like an idiot

  • He dont like his left arm much better.

    B-37

  • theres your new safety officer.

  • This is why I like wood props. You can have a brain fart and insert a body part into the spinning prop and get a nice bruise but no cut.Nylon, fiberglass etc. make good knives too.

  • I know the feeling, I have a scar on my right hand from catching my hand in the prop on my old corsair .50. Luckily it was only idling...

  • i saw that one coming

  • Nitro Junk, get with the future.. Fly electric, NO AMA, NO noise, No smell NO Issues. :)

  • ya remind me not to fly around you! I dont like electric but thats not the point, If you dont have ama thats scary!

  • I've been scaring people since 1982, lol

Enjoy the AMA some people need hand holding and safety officers.

  • ya and dont forget the insurance you wont have when you screw up and fly into someones car, or slice a little kid open whith an apc knife edge prop.

  • That happens all the time... +1 for your wow factor comments....

You keep ponying up to the AMA, if that makes you feel better...

Meanwhile, I'll sit back and watch videos like this one... Now I know why most people like you need AMA insurance.

  • Ha Ha! Exactly. The AMA is a crock of crap for all Im concerned. It takes all the fun out of RC. Who wants to fly around in circles at a crowded club anyway?

  • an electric plane can cut you even worse... and ama has nothing to do with power source.

  • I saw a guy get his hand caught in a prop once,he was old too. It seems that,no matter how long you've been doing this,an accident can occur at any moment.

  • I had arterial spurt/ bleeding from an MDS 40, trying to change the needle valve.

Looks like I tried suicide. Cured me of putting my hands/ arms anywhere near spinny things.

  • You could tell that was a deep wound. Usually, shallow cuts take a while to show blood. This one was red right at the time of injury!

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some nerve damage and/or cut tendons.

  • No nerve damage or cut tendons, he came REAL close though ..

  • GOSH I WONDER

  • been there, done that.

  • ASD i did it too :p

  • i remember doing that with my great planes bip.

got half a finger and still flying :D

  • OUCH!!! Do you think he still fle his plane?? If he was a true RC Airplane enthusiast, he would have!!! LOL

  • son of a------ man that had to hurt. Made me ill a lil. Glad to see it though.....lesson for me. Thanks for posting....learned a lot. Did you lose a finger?

  • No he didnt loose one, just a deep cut!

  • Yep, it's called safety. You could have easily hit the prop every time you went down for the transmitter. Had it been a little farther back you could have blead to death in a matter of minutes. Lucky!

  • ouch sorry i got hit with an electric ya 5 stitches

  • yea that sucks

  • thats really bad.. I had a nip on the nuckle with my electric walkera 37 from the tail rotor.. just think what this would be like with a petrol !!!!!

  • i'm glad i never got an accident with my planes.

    i would freak out.

  • That can be bad....ouch
