  • Very very good show !! Keep it up !!

  • If you rich people want to you are true patriots. THEN PAY YOUR FUCKING TAXES!!!

  • Cenk: Tax the summuhmuhbitch rich xD

  • DON'T TAX THE RICH!!!!

  • Vote ----- Ron Paul

    1. Cut funding to Israel & spend the money in America & for Americans

  • I didn't get the impression that this went down the way Cenk thinks. These useful idiots, as poor as many of them are, are trained to scream out against taxing the rich. When the guy in the audience said it, I think he meant it sarcastically, insinuating that this is the left's simple answer. Walsh responded as if this were the case.

  • @dookdawg214

It's not "the left"'s response - it's the response of anyone who isn't to the right of Genghis Khan. By today's standards, Reagan would be considered a socialist.

  • They can tax the rich, but the money will not even make a scratch in the nearly 15 trill black hole of debt....I think we are now up to every man, women and child in the US now owes 52,000 in taxes...... One trill, if you could spend 750,000 in a 24 hour period, every day for 4000 years, that is around 1 trill...It would take roughly 60,000 years at 750,000 per day to get nearly 15 trill.....

  • @avionicswirenut

So you should start5 where the blame belongs and screwed you over! Seize every singe asset made by the stinking rich and sell them off to slavery until THEY have paid for the debts that THEY owe. Why should you, the unempoyed and the poor pay for the fuckups of the rich? Why should the middle class be punished for something that the rich is ultimately responsibe for?

  • @bohemianwriter1 As you say, why should all of us pay for the rich and the governments spending problem...We are not the ones that put America nearly 15 trill in the hole, but we will be the ones that have to pay for it...They keep hinting about new taxes coming...The tax the rich BS that Buffet talks about, it is just a bunch of bullshit to make it sound like they are going to pay up...If you know anything about business and taxes, you will understand how the rich get rich and poor get poor.

  • even a right wing populist said to tax the rich, their is too much madness in this world!!!

  • Tea party is a scam. Fuck those filthy rich republicans. Lets vote them out!

  • Whoever interpreted the Walsh video clip Cenk used in the same way he did, must be as stupid as he is. This is why he got booted from MSNBC (as dubious an honor that must be). Clearly Mr Walsh was using an audience member's point to further a talking point for the group. He clearly said "Tax the rich , HE SAYS". Cenk was fishing, came up with a guppy and tried to pass it off as the big one. Along the same lines, wouldn't it be nice if the rich all just quit one day. Would love to see that.

  • i hate tea..........

  • I wonder how the tea party would react if they actually learned that the tea party happend because there WASN'T a tax on British tea, making it impossible to buy any other kind but theirs.

  • I hope the tea party goes frankenstien on the republicans hahahahahah

  • The only thing taxing the rich will accomplish is that it will make liberals feel better

  • @BorgKing001 Provide the Government with more revenue to help pay for programs that needy people and all people can use. Thats what will happen.

  • @TheOnlyAttrition define the "needy" How would you distribute the money to them?

  • @BorgKing001 *sigh* im not about to get into an argument with an elitist.

  • @TheOnlyAttrition giving up huh, don't blame you, you would loose

  • Even if we take all earned income for those making 10 million or more, you only get 250 billion, which is far short of the deficit. Raising taxes isn't a solution, creating wealth is a solution, and you don't do that by raising taxes.

  • Ron Paul will never send Americans to fight & die for Israel & Jew

  • He doesn't even pay his child support, how can he know what's 'right', 'Deadbeat Dad Joe Walsh'. Be a better dad first.

  • It would have been nice if you played the entire clip. You can tax the rich all you want but the problem is it will not put a dent in our deficit unless we stop spending. As we all know Obama and his minions are not interested in cutting spending, they want to spend more. In fact, if they thought they could get away with it we would have another trillion dollar stimulus that does nothing but line the pockets of the unions and all the left wing wackos just like the first one.

  • Jew :

    1. Jew destroys Europe & America economy.

    2. Evidence on my channel page

  • RON PAUL 2012. Those who bash him don't really know his views.

  • i don't trust this clip, i screams of editing to me. if i could watch the next even 2 minutes of it i would buy that what's being painted here actually went down.

  • Tea partiers are either dumb or just crazy

  • @GhettoSage Or both..

  • 0:53 must be the most awkward moment in this guy's life

  • christ we will need another great depression to fix this country =(

  • The other case to be made for taxing the rich more is that because the level of income inequality has gone up so much the rich are taking so much more money out of the system that there needs to be some type of counter balance to it.

  • What I like to know.., Is how many seniors in that "townhall meeting are supposed to be corporate rich?... And do any use government programs....

  • Ohhh shit. Help has frozen over. Were fucked.

  • HURRR DURRR WE CAN'T TAX THE RICH.

WE GODDA TAX DOZE DAT DON'T GOT MONEY HURRRRR.

    God I fucking hate conservatives.

  • Please look at latest Warren Buffett video asking his Rich buddies to pay more tax. He wants the government to tax the RICH more. He realizes that the RICH will lose ultimately if the people don't have the money to spend and buy their products. This will impact the company's bottom line. Also, the US economy wouldn't be able to sustain itself just with spending cuts alone. We need to have Tax Revenues and Spending Cuts to come out of this mess we AS A NATION are in.

  • @ppraish LOLOL!!!

Warren Buffett? IF he truly felt that he didn't pay enough taxes, he could simply write an additional check to the government. So could anybody. But if he truly felt undertaxed, why would he take most of his money and put it in Bill Gates's tax shelter and then take charitable deductions to eliminate any tax obligations. In fact, his carry forward deductions and lower tax rate capital gains would be enough to insure he won't pay any income tax for the rest of his life.

  • @mickeysears Have you heard his plan to donate 99% of his wealth?

  • @DirectInjected That's what I'm talking about. He put 99% of his wealth into The Bill and Melinda Gates Charity on which he is a board member. He will then be able to deduct up to the maximum every year until he uses up the entire donation. When you factor in the fact that most of his money comes from capital gains which is taxed at a lower rate and the charitable deduction, he will pay NO INCOME TAX FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE! And this is a guy who wants to tax YOU MORE.

  • @mickeysears Hang on one second. I agree with everything you said up until the last bit. Frankly, I don't care whether or not he pays *income* tax vs *capital gains* tax. Tax is tax. However, the part where you say he wants to tax ME more is just flat wrong. He wants people making 1M$+ to be taxed at a higher rate, and 10M$+ at an even higher rate. I'm flattered that you think I make one million dollars a year, but Buffet wants the rich taxed more, not Joe the Plumber.

  • @DirectInjected You show you have no understanding of the tax system. Right now capital gains are taxed at 15% long term. That means that anyone cashing in $100,000 worth of stock profits only show $15,000 in income on there taxes. That coupled with of dollar for dollar deduction for charitable contributions up to 50% of there income will pay very little taxes. If you earned $100,000 from your job, you would pay about $35,000 to the government.

  • @mickeysears I'm not talking about the current tax system, I'm talking about Warren Buffet's desires for taxation. What I said (1M taxed more, 10M taxed ++) is a direct quote from Buffet.

  • @DirectInjected You're taking the word from a guy that hid all of his money to keep it from being taxed? Are you friggen kidding me?

  • @mickeysears I'm not taking his word about anything. I'm repeating what he said. He may have hidden evil intentions to dominate the middle class, but what he has stated so far is the desire for increased taxes on the rich. He may be lying, but I'm just quoting. By the way, of the 47% of wage earners not paying income tax, 500,000 of them are making more than 100K$ a year, or roughly 16% of the income group. We need tax reform. That 16% SHOULD be paying income tax.

  • @DirectInjected Right now 47% of all wage earners pay no income tax at all. And those earning over $1 Million are taxed at a higher rate. But history has shown, that increasing taxes does not increase revenue. Increasing the paying base does. The more people paying into the system increases revenue. That's why increasing jobs are the answer. Not increasing taxes.

  • @mickeysears

    Except, you're wrong.

  • Only in America is Robbin Hood considered enemy of the state.

  • @startreking2007 Only in America!!

  • @startreking2007 Well, in the fictionalized England....xD

  • @startreking2007 - you're a total fucking moron

  • @thomaserossi Takes from the rich and gives to the poor, ya...... Like you wouldn't shoot him dead if you caught him in the act.

  • @startreking2007 - You really are stupid. I'd shoot anyone dead who tried to take as much as a Funyun (tm).

  • LIBERTARIANMONARCHY . COM

  • IVE HAD ENOUGH OF THE DEMOCWEAK PARTY AND IM NOT TAKING IT ANYMORE!

RON PAUL 2012 CENK ... TELL ME WHY NOT!

  • @JUDALATION You mean the no Regulations, NO gay marriage and supported keeping the tax loop holes.

  • @Waage83 Whose policies are those? Ron Paul or Obama? Obama is against gay marrage, Obama passed weak regulations on wall street and wants to drill just like republicans, Obama expanded the tax cuts for a few more weeks of unemployment... an cheap give away... Obama is also going to cut SS and Medicaid... He is worse than a GOP

  • i'm saying it . tax the fucking rich. and if they keep crying about it, tax them some more. tax the rich free loaders until it hurts.

  • @IntolerantAtheist1 - also, social security & medicare dont add to the deficit as they're separate from budget. they're paid into by ppl & the US uses it to create Treasury bills.

  • @IntolerantAtheist1 we have the lowest tax rate since the 50s w/ the US being 27th of 30 oecd countries in collecting corp. taxes. '98-'05 2/3 of US corp.s & 70% of US based for. co.s paid no fed inc taxes. currently. there are corp.s that pay NEGATIVE tax rates ($0 fed tax + get tx refund/subsidies). they've had 10 yrs of low tax rate but revenue didnt increase. reagan tax hike 11x to get more revenue, incldg largest tx hike on mid inc. class in history.

  • @ceprelex well said my friend well said

  • The rich can't pay more taxes! They're already paying the tea-partiers to say all of this bullshit.

  • That guy and T-Paw would make for the best running mates ever. Can you imagine their commercials? They should team up with Bobby Jindal and become the Uncharismatic Powerless Trio!

  • before any american vote's they should pull up the citi-bank memo of 2005-06 titled plutonomy!!!!! they can find it on google or there is a short clip on utube! after watching that let's see if you still want to vote republican and if you do then you are suffering from a mental illness!!

  • How Tea partiers/Republicans (same thing) vote:

"I don't care if he's Hitler as long as he's against abortion and homosexuality

  • @ceprelex RIGHT ON!

  • If Warren Buffet is demanding to be taxed then it should be done.

  • Walsh was taking fancy vacations with his girlfriend while leaving his kids out to dry. Another "Family Values" Republican showing his true colors.

  • @ceprelex Oh fuck a low IQ lazy bum who wants to rob everyone. rich people dont even use most the things taxes pay for like the failed public school system that creates low IQ thugs like yourself and is only needed cause your parents were too busy sucking cock for crack so they need to send you to public daycare to have time to suck more cock and smoke more crack.

  • @HorrorAngel666

    Blah blah blah blah.

  • @HorrorAngel666 That was...illogical and weird.

  • That's the tea party for ya! Passing sweet tea of as chai, and charging ya double for it. :)

  • "Money/market" is ROOT of problems, how do we:

    1. stop corruption caused by profit motive?

    2. ensure everyone has minimum necessities?

    ANSWER

    1. FREELY Share ALL resources & knowledge worldwide, NO more money/property

    2. Use LATEST technology to create an ABUNDANCE of all our needs, NO more waste/theft

    3. Automate/localize ALL production and distribution, NO more central control/wage slavery

    v=4Z9WVZddH9w

  • You yanks have been trying to convince yourselves that your entire population can live at someone else's expense.

It's never worked, and it won't this time.

Wake up and do the maths yourselves, even if you tax ALL profits & wages in the economy - you can't fix your spending problems.

  • @LibertyDownUnder us yank's US millionaire households r sitting on $38.6 TRILLION domestically PLUS $6.3 TRILLION overseas. our spending is about ~$3Trillion w/ natl debt =$14T. so yes, "even if we tax ALL profits & wages in the economy - [we CAN] fix [our] spending problems."

but thanks for playing the "have a say about something u know nothing about" game.

  • @rumpole33, that figure is an estimate of their total wealth, not of how much cash or income they have. And most of that is inflated valuations of shares and real estate.

If you tried to tax these assets, they would have to sell most of the American industry to the Chinese, and that's assuming the Chinese would find that kind of money.

A detailed analysis of how trying to 'tax the rich' would work out is explained here: /watch?v=661pi6K-8WQ

    It ain't pretty.

  • I love the fact that more and more people are saying "tax the rich" at these republicon events. It tells me that Fox News Fascists are not successfully brainwashing enough people.

  • These politicians are f-ked up. I recently got hired by a company and they do all these background check on my credit. Basically if you don't have strong credit you're screwed. Why do voters allow these messed up people (in this case, dead beat) to be elected is beyond me.

And yes...if you're making less than a million and you're against taxing the rich, you're a total moron. Because whatever taxes they are not paying, I can guarantee that it's not going to you.

  • Saw the title and got my hopes up. Knew it was too good to be true.

  • he should be more concerned in where he's gonna get money to pay child support

  • That's no Tea Bagger that's someone on our side...!

  • Warren Buffett just side it is time to stop coddling the rich. This is what...the 4th richest man in the country. Seriously, IF he sas lets tax them, DO IT. Christ.

  • Not only is "tax the rich" covetness, it is comminust. Which makes it totaly evil.

  • @Hughganaught I see you haven't left the 70s?

  • @shawakwak Do you mean the 1670s? 1770s? 1870s? or 1970s?

  • @Hughganaught A progressive tax system is necessary for a sustainable economic model. What do you want? Feudalism? Our system is bent on keeping the poor and middle class down in the gutter.

Taxing the rich isn't remotely communist. It's common sense.

Trust me, in a communist country, the reds would do more than tax the rich. They would chase them out with pitchforks.

  • @demanvanhetstokbrood No it's not. Amerca did just fine without one. A progressive tax, ushers in fudalism in that the rich get punished out of existance. If it isn't conninust, then why is it a plank on the manafesto?

The rich will flee a commonust or a socalist country, which is why Obama and other commies need global control. IN order to completly redistribute the wealth.

  • @Hughganaught It's very simple. Democratic progressives believe in justice. Right wingers don't. It's as simple as that. There seem like virtually no other dimensions to all of this.

  • @TheNavigateur No. Democratic progressives belive in Socal justice, ie: socalism, redistrubution of wealth. (Which we consider covetness and theft.)

Conservatives belive in common law. Life liberity and the persuit of happiness. Equal justice under the law and other CONSTITUIONAL restraints. Everyone is under the law. Including congress and the president.

  • @Hughganaught Common law IS itself a redistrubution of wealth. So that disproves your entire argument. Right-wingers don't believe in ANY notion of justice. Should a poor victim of a crime have the same service from the police and the justice system than a rich victim of a crime? Yes or no?

    i.e. right-wingism = anti-justice.

  • @TheNavigateur How is that ? How dose common law redistribute wealth? We don't belive in social justice. We want equil justice under the law.

And yes of course. A poor victom of a crime deserves the same service from the police as dose a rich one. In fact the victom of a crime should re-embersed for his loss of properity.

  • @Hughganaught So you realise that the majority of money paid to employ agents of the law and the police comes from rich people? So it is de facto a re-distribution of wealth by providing a SERVICE to those poor people (and rich alike). The service provided is itself wealth because it requires manpower to provide it. Wealth=manpower. Right-wingers have no argument.

  • @TheNavigateur Well yaeh, that's because of your progressive/comminust/covetness tax. We pay a disporpontunate amount of taxes. So money is power. So get over it.

  • @Hughganaught So you just contradicted yourself. You said that a poor victim of a crime deserves the same service from the police as does a rich one. Yet you oppose ANY redistribution of wealth. So which is it? Right-wing ideology falls apart upon even the simplest examination!

  • @TheNavigateur How is equil justice under the law, a redistribution of wealth? Where dose money change hands? Police are to give equil service to all citizens, rich and poor alike. In marxist and banana republics, you have to greace their palms. America is better (or is supposed to by) than that.

  • @Hughganaught It's a service which costs money. As such, it is redistributive. Like publicly funded education provision, and so forth. Right-wingers want the total elimination of all guaranteed publicly funded education provision, for example, because they see that as redistributive (rich people's money going toward a service that the poor can use).

Ultimately, right-wingism concludes that all taxation for any universally available services is immoral. In fact, right-wingism is immoral.

  • @TheNavigateur What your saying dosn't make sence. we spend gazallions on services to the poor. and yes the rich foot the bill. We want the poor to pay their own way. We want the poor not to take more than they put in. Why should the rich pay for the foodstamps, welfare and education of the poor? Why can't they pay;theri own way?

  • @Hughganaught Then why not make them pay their own way for police services? Right-wingism falls apart.

  • @TheNavigateur Because civil authorities are to all citizens equally. No, equil justice inder the law is a right wing polocy.

  • @Hughganaught If it a right wing policy, it is certainly also a left wing policy. But it is totally at odds with all other right wing policies, which is to abolish e.g. equal opportunities for all regardless of family background, which no individual has control over (i.e. nobody chooses their family background). Right wingers don't believe "justice" need apply to them. Common sense says that it, of course, should.

Equal justice under the law is certainly not an ultra right-wing policy.

  • @Hughganaught Progressive taxes have ALWAYS been in place in the US. They still do. US has the biggest amount of millionaires and billionaires worldwide. A lot of (according to you) socialist countries (Norway amongst them) are infested with millionaires. It doesn't punish anyone out of existence

By the way, in a communist country they would simply confiscate your factories and they might even not compensate you for it.

Obama isn't nearly communist. Youre an idiot.

  • @demanvanhetstokbrood Where was the progressive tax before the 16 Amendment? You mean like the way the Federal government confincated irrigation water from westside farmers? Is that comminust?

Obama's grand parentss were commies, so was his mother, and all of his friends, and all of his education. If he walks like a duck,,,,,,

  • @Hughganaught Youre either an idiot, or a liar. Or both.

Barack Sr. worked for an oil company, which no communist would EVER do. He was blue collar through and through. And his mom was pretty much the average liberal.

Progressive taxes are necessary to keep our economic model sustainable. The average CEO earns 531 times as much as the average worker. This ratio was 1:42 in 1980.

And sometimes people's property must be impounded to, say, build a (rail)road. They were compensated, I'm sure.

  • @demanvanhetstokbrood They met at Russian class. Barack's mama was a comminust. So were her parents. Barack Sr was of the same bend.

A progressive tax is part of the problem and impounding properity is theft.

Your values are just as marxist as Obama's, so maybe you can't see it.

  • @Hughganaught

"A progressive tax is part of the problem and impounding properity is theft."

    No it's not you cretin.

How is lowering taxes on those with the most wealth make any sense?

Your comment's are farther proof that religion is a plague on humanity.

  • @mecher3k Amerca became great because Americans were a God-fearing moral people. Our consitutional repupublic is inadequate for any other. OUr religon was the source of our greatness. Taxing the rich backfires because wealth carries strength. Money is a form of dominium. They can manouver around any such progressive tax and make the poor pay for it.

  • @Hughganaught

"Amerca became great because Americans were a God-fearing moral people."

    Lol clueless retard.

"OUr religon was the source of our greatness."

Founding Fathers would like a word with you.

"Taxing the rich backfires because wealth carries strength."

    Um, no.

"They can manouver around any such progressive tax and make the poor pay for it."

Because christards like you let them.

  • @mecher3k At the signing of the declaragion of INdependence, Samual Adams said: "We have this day resotred the Sorvereign to whom all men ought to be obedient. He reings in Heaven & from the rising to the setting of the sun, let his kindom come."

In 1788 James Madison said: "We have staked the future,, upon the capacity of each & all of us to govern ourseves to sustain ourselves, according to the 10 Commandments of God."

    What dose that sound like?

  • @Hughganaught

Hahahahaha using quotes from David Barton.

  • @mecher3k That's because we have a problem with theveory

  • @Hughganaught Lol, youre really an idiot..

  • @demanvanhetstokbrood Insulting the messanger dose not change the message or the truth. Insult me all you want. It don't change a thing.

  • @Hughganaught No, it isn't true. EVERY civilised country today has progressive taxes, even ultracapitalist countries like Switzerland or the US. Redistributing the wealth is necessary to grant equal opportunities.

    Besides, you can take it.

  • @demanvanhetstokbrood Sin is universal. All error and come short.

  • @Hughganaught Sin is a misguided biblical concept to make us feel guilty about NOT taking shit from the rich. What about trickle down economics, where the rich actually pay LESS taxes (Bush Jr., propbably your fav prez installed 'em)? Why don't yopu just go back to feudal ages and make everyone who's poorer than you serfs? Ypu're blinded by both your own greed and your biblical dogmas that haven't produced anything.

  • @Hughganaught If "tax the rich" is evil is "covetness. Then "The poor don't pay enough taxes" is evil and does not treat thy brother as thou, and "clothed him not" and "fed him not".

Which by the way that is completely stupid what you said. "Tax the rich" is not coveting thy neibhbors goods. It's asking the FUCKING PEOPLE WHO START ALL THE GOD DAMN WARS AND SACRAFICE THE POORS LIVES TO FUCKING PAY FOR IT YOU SON OF A BITCH.

  • @Teremei EXACTLY RIGHT. KUDOS BRO!!! YOU SHOW THAT SOMUVA BITCH RETARD WHAT IS GOING ON.

  • @Teremei Uh, we are not asking the military complex to pay more taxes...

Even if we were it would be irrelevant to them. They have only one customer and its clear that the neither parties want to stop war.

  • @Teremei Interesting how you misquote scripture then take the Lord's name in vain.

  • @Hughganaught Jesus Christ, really, you are fucking stupid.

  • @Hughganaught You need to re-read that bible chief. You have some seriously flawed interpretations of it.

  • @Hughganaught Thats hilarious! So when rich people (like the democrats in congress) say "You know, we should get rid of tax cuts for wealthy people like us" and people who arent rich say "Thats logical. Why arent we doing that?" then you see it as "covetness" and "comminust."

Oh I can already see youre a deep intellectual philosopher. So answer these:

Is it "covetness" that we installed the tax cuts in the first place? Is it "covetness" that we pay any taxes ever? Is "covetness" even a word?

  • @UncontestedTruth Since the tithe is God's tax on us for occupying His earth, he only asks 10%. If civil government takes more, then civil government places itself above God. Which is idolotry. Ciivil government's only commission is justice. It has no business in welfare or social justice.

And yes, covetness is a word.

  • @Hughganaught Oh, and I suppose that 10% goes directly to God, huh? Yeah...

(Sorry, everyone, for feeding the troll.)

  • @TheMidwestAtheist Yes of course. If anyone claiming to be God's agent, collects money on his behalf. And dosn't deliver, or squanders it on something else, God will hold him accountable. Fearing the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and I expect a lot of caranval hacks will get a rude awakening.

  • @Hughganaught The government is designed to help and protect the people. God has never given a cap on the government. Nor does it mean it is placing itself above your god. "Render unto Caesar." He didnt say "only this much."

But then again, we do not establish law based solely on what your god wants. That would be confusing seeing as how there are 3 different interpretations of your god.

And no, covetness isnt a word.

  • @UncontestedTruth And reneder unto the Lord, that which is the Lord's You forget that part. Civil government has no jurosdiction in areas of self-government, family-government or church-government. Each has it's place, it's justosdiction. One is not to interfear with the other.

Why is it when you base laws on "my" God, that civilization flourishes? Science expands? And the blessings of prosperity and Liberty is enjoyed by all? If covetness isn't a word, then why are you useing it?

  • Comment removed

  • @Hughganaught

"Why is it when you base laws on "my" God, that civilization flourishes? Science expands? "

In the Dark Ages we reverted back in terms of knowledge/science. Epic fail.

  • @mecher3k The Dark Ages is not a result of Christiondom. It is based on fudelism. Look at the Reformation to see the blessings of Christiandom. The Bible got published in the common language, a middle class erupted. science, commerce and exploration occured and we flurished. You got it backwards

  • @Hughganaught ---

"The Dark Ages is not a result of Christiondom."

I think you mean Christianity. Christendom is the Christian version of "Ummah" for Muslims, the worldwide Christian community.

The Dark Ages was very much a result of Christendom.

Feudalism existed in Muslim countries during the Middle Ages as well, yet they experienced their golden age in poetry, art, science.

  • @underbjorn NO IT WASN'T. Fudalism was the political order. The christian trappings was on the back burner. The nobels and clergy was more interested in politcal control.

Christondom is the political aspect of a nation who's laws are based on common law. Yes, simular to the "ummah" But along with it was 'seculardom" That most people led secular lives.

This "golden age in poetry, art & science" is largly a myth. Moorish Spain was a hellhole

  • @Hughganaught ---

hahaha what aj oke, secular lives? Wow, what an uneducated clown you are.

Moorish Spain was a hellhole? Is that why there are so beautiful architecture left from it? Why Jews could live there until the Reconquista? Common law? What the fuck are you talking about, continental Europe was governed by Salic law and Canon law, religious law.

The words of the Holy See carried heavy weight. Society was more "secular" in multireligious Muslim countries.

  • @underbjorn What history books are you reading? Dr Suses?

  • Comment removed

  • @Hughganaught ---

No, any kind of history books based on the majority of scholars, not based on racist conspiracy theorists from the United States' Christian white supremacists.

So you deny the very existence of the buildings erected by the Umayyad Caliphate, do you also deny the the standards of Muslims as well as minorities there? You have no idea what you are talking about, do you?

Moorish Spain was well above Dark Age Europe, but since you have no education, you rely on Glenn Beck.

  • @underbjorn I have read many history books. Much of it online. Most history professors are liberal, they teach liberal history. Dig a little deeper. So what's wrong with Glenn Beck? What dose say that's, extreme? wrong? or wierd? It takes courage to face the truth.

  • @Hughganaught ---

Most history professors are liberal, does that mean they are wrong?

Maybe they are liberal because with high education in social sciences comes insight.

    .

Are you actually saying there's something positive with Glenn Beck's crazy conspiratorial bullshit rantings except the parody? xD He is extreme, yes, wrong, always, wierd, yes from a European perspective he is a comedian.

It takes couragev to face the truth, so you must be the utmost coward to ditch conventional wisdom.

  • @Hughganaught Why the hell are you two talking about Religion and Politics, they do not belong together. Secondly Spain was a hell hole because of blacks and dark arabs, how do you know this? Where you there? The last I checked most European with minorities in them flourished because of the Spice, Minerals and slave trades...

  • @Hughganaught

"The Dark Ages is not a result of Christiondom."

    Yes it is.

"Look at the Reformation to see the blessings of Christiandom."

Uh, which did nothing to progress humanity at all, only set it back even more.

"science, commerce and exploration occured and we flurished. You got it backwards"

Uh no, that was because the writings of the Ancient Greeks were made widely available. The same ones Muslim's kept intact.

Religion is a plague on humanity.

  • @mecher3k So the changes in the16th & 17th centuries wern't sugnifigant? People left the fudal plantations moved into town, became craftmen and prospered. They lived longer, richer, and healthier. World trade stimulated commerce

No religon is the nector of humanity.

  • @Hughganaught

Nothing you said happened because of religion, NOTHING.

Dark Ages, religion loses right there.

Them there is the burning of the Library of Alexandria.

Yep, religion is a plague on humanity.

  • @mecher3k The burning of the libuary in Alexandria was a HUGE crime. Christians didn't do it. Muslims did. it Christians lost a lot of origonal manualscripts in that fire. It was a huge crime against Christiondom. ISLAM is a plage on humanity.

  • @Hughganaught BULLSHIT AGAIN. Christianity burned the library down under edict because it contained "pagan literature". The muslims burned it down later in the 600's. Stop lying to yourself. Muslims are not the sole cause of the problem. Every Abrahamic faith has caused more trouble than good. And if you want a true catastrophe perpetrated by CHRISTIANS, how about the fucking Inquisition? Burning of witches? Salem?! Christianity. Is. Disgusting.

  • @DirectInjected

Not to forget the one day in 1099 where they slayed more than 70 000 Jews and Muslims in the name of Baby Jesus. OR how aout the ingrown antisemittism that has colored Christianity for almost 2 000 years, culminating in the highly Christian Holocaust?

We can continue with the genocide of Native Americans in North and South America in the 1500's. And not to forget slavery. Christians used the bible to rationalize slavery; In the name of Baby Jesus off course...

  • @DirectInjected None of those are real Christians by definition though, neither are pretty much all the so called "Christian Conservatives". If you really believe in the preachings of Jesus, the only place where you can survive is in places that are EXTREMELY socialist. "Turn the other cheek, give everything to the poor, don't be rich in wealth but be rich in thoughts" and all those other hippie quotes (which make no sense) that I remember from church. Jesus was the ultimate left ideolog.

  • @Hughganaught How does the civil government deal with self, family, or church? What are you talking about?

Why is it when we base laws on "your" god, persecution, in whatever capacity, occurs?

Flourishes? Thats why your god helped civilization "flourish" during the dark ages when your religion had complete control?

Or how your religion stagnated science (ask Galileo)?

Or how your religion persecuted (Crusades, Inquisition, witch hunts)?

I put it in quotations for a reason. Mocking. Duh.

  • @UncontestedTruth Civil, church, family and self government are diffrent things. Each has it's own jurosditon and one is not to interfear with the other. Why is it when laws based on other gods always stagnates civilization? It was the Pope who stagnated Galileo. Scripture backed him up. There is a diffrence between church politicks and Christanity.

  • @Hughganaught Heres the thing. Civil government doesnt tell you how to govern yourself or your family outside logical law requirements (like no killing, drunk driving, etc.). Civil gov has nothing to do with church. 1st amendment in action.

Greeks didnt have a very stagnated civilization for the record.

Scripture backed the Pope or Galileo?

Christianity has caused stagnation and persecution over the years since its creation. If you say otherwise, you simply deny facts.

  • @UncontestedTruth No it's YOU who are denying facts. Scratch the surface a little and you will see I am right.

You have to desern the diffrence between religon and church politicks. Much of what your are saying is a result of politicks not scripture. If Christaniy causes stagnation, then why are we not still wearing robes and riding donkeys?

  • @Hughganaught Because the Romans and the Greeks started the concept of science, philosophy etc. If Christianity had its way, we'd still be in the dark ages.

  • @DirectInjected Don't you mean Islam? They want us to live in the 7th century. If that were true of Christians, then we'd still be wearing robes and riding donkeys

  • @Hughganaught I should mean all religions. However, Christianity has had a particularly brutal effect. Islam is holding back islamic countries, it hasn't managed to hold back all of Western society...yet.
