Wrong. From 93 to 96 the 530is were V8s, the engine is called M60B30 (similar to 540i's, which was called M60B40). Another thing that you're wrong, BMW has never made a 'V' six. All BMW 6 cylinder engines are inline sixes, even today.
I retrofitted a kit by Mosselman for 540i E39. Only used the bracket, s/chgr and oil lines. Engine was overhauled prior (just preventive). Used a piggyback computer to adjust a/f ratio and timing. MAF meter is from 540i, the stock one could not read past 5.5k rpm w/ that much air. Plugs need to use 2 steps colder plugs. Exhaust is true 2.5" x 2, but stock exhaust manifold. Diff is LSD from 750i 1990. Clutch need a 'sport' item with less slip. Rest of drive train is stock and not a problem.

yeah the owner of the vid is correct. bmw only did inline 6 or v8. inline is anyday better than v6
