I can see the economic incentives for bobbing a military 6x6 but I don't think I would! OTOH just about every bobber leaves a viable M105 trailer (without its box) somewhere! I hope somebody with a shop and the tools is exploiting this already. Best regards.

@richlindquist : Thanks. The axle-snapping discussion started prior to the start of the video. One vehicle headed up the sand hill, got bogged down and just sat there hopping & churning away before finally backing down the hill and taking it at a higher speed and lower gear.

@websurfer114 : EXACTLY!! The lack of the tandem rear axle allows the front axle of the bobbed truck to bounce and rock and lose traction. Pointless in my opinion.

@mossbones1 : I'd suggest that you type "how to snap an axle" into You Tube's search box and watch a few of those videos. That might educate you about how easy it is to break an axle when hopping / spinning a wheel off-road. Adding a larger tire to the equation increases axle fatigue also. Perhaps you should then watch "proper grammar and punctuation" so that when you write comments in the future your spelling won't reflect your severe lack of education or laziness. Happy New Year!
