I just bought a 2012 GT 500 and have a slight 1-2 grind I have heard the MGW will fix this problem have you had this problem or install a MGW what was your impression thanks for your input I really appreciate it!!

@1970351cmustang I have not had any grind at all from 1st to 2nd. I have had the car for a little over a year and have about 850 miles on it with right at 700hp at the crank. Honestly I am not sure what MGW is but would love to know. Sorry I wasn't any help for you.

@idubsl MGW is a company like Hurst that makes aftermarket shifters. The grind rarely happens to me but when it does it is only under full throttle 1-2 shifts. My GT500 seems like it has more clutch travel you have to let it in and out further to fully disengage so I guess it might just have been me but from what I see on the Shelby forums other people have been having this problem. But people claim the MGW is the fix for this problem that's why I was asking

Just in the last two days i haven't had any problems shifting fast in that car I think the problem was that it had more clutch travel than my last car so Its just something to get used to I guess. I appreciate the reply but I Guess if there was a serious problem the 12's are fixed.

@2011gt500ss left foot off the clutch and on the brakes. It takes practice getting it right, but its a fun thing to practice. It can be difficult to judge how hard you put down your left foot on the brakes.
