  • Hey i wonder if you can help :: you seem to have re-designed the Leslie 2101

im not really skilled at that sort of thing so im just using my 2101 mk 2 as it is - with its built in Tube Amp. but after hearing my one back on film a few times, ive noticed something is missing or something is not right. & someone has also said to me,it sounds very piercing, and not enough depth or body to it (even though im using a speaker under it, boosting the lower-rotor effect). & not enough grit to it. ideas??

  • That sounded awesome. This is the first time I've seen an actually rotor of an organ.

  • Thank you for the post, are you using the 2101p or the 2101mk2? thanks :)

  • Still missing the lower rotor..

  • The lower rotor is an electronic simulation driven by two 5 1/2 drivers, out of view on this video. This video I used a "single speed" leslie model. Fast and Stop. The other videos I use the Fast and Slow. Hope this helps clear things up! : )

  • This sounds more like the real vintage leslies, than the ones they putting out now...

  • very nice tone man, nice chops. no chorale speed on that unit?

  • Yes it has fast/slow/stop. I simply chose the single speed "model" for this little jig. But I've updated this rig since this video... check 'em out.

  • For this first-stage rig and my current updated rig, I have a custom master AMP and EQ presets on the VK8m, I use this for a Tonewheel Generator and C/V scanner only, My DEQ2496 for my tube preamp and power amp modelling out to my leslie 2101.

  • Are you using just the factory presets on your vk8m or did you have to edit them?

  • Nice playing dude.
