but pork has tape worms, one of the deadliest kinds, that can lodge into the brain and lay eggs and eventually kill its host. It was on the discovery channel , monsters within me

Chicken and eggs cause significantly more illness and death...discovery channel will run a special on this when it's fashionable haha.

Pork is a very safe meat. Especially when you have a great butcher. Know your meat source and consume without worry.
