@TacosForTacos Blink 182 didn't hit their popular stage until 2000,when All The Small Things became popular. Travis Barker, as a drummer,is popular due to mixing drums in rap songs,for example,Soulja Boy,& I'm not saying he isn't a bad drummer.Get off my case about good and bad.As a musician, I know what talent is,but I haven't seen Travis do any technical beats...so yeah. Matt Griener is a great drummer,Adam Gray is a great drummer,Luke Holland is a great drummer(not just because due to genre)

@TacosForTacos I wouldn't compare the 2 bands together if I didn't hear too much AVA sound in Blink's new album. But I did, so yeah, haha. It's just my opinion, though. I get that bands mature, but I think that's a really over-used term/excuse. In a way, I think musicians just get lazy. I don't expect them to be the same, but I also would've never expected them to be totally different.

Quite frankly you all should be thankful that they actually put all the shit from the past and got together and made a new album for us. I have to disagree with you on Blink being a bad band ... As they mention themselves the chemistry between them is better then ever,They matured, all have childeren, and are getting older. you can't expect them to keep make songs about girls,sex Blink sounding like AVA ? AVA was inspired by great bands from the 80's like U2, The Cure, Pink Floyd. All members of Blink like those bands aswell. so no wonder they sound like eachother. the new music is good. Toms singing is better then previously.

I don't care one single bit that they don't write songs about sex, girls, etc. The lyrics are fine on this album, just not the music. No really up-beat songs, no insanely built up choruses. Cool AVA was inspired by those bands, but that's not the point. This is Blink-182, not AVA.

Blink 182 was much like angles and airwaves before they even formed, alot of the songs from the self tilted album sound like AvA.

Everyone always uses that excuse "Oh, they've matured" or "Oh, musicians change" I already know that. Any time I listen to their new album, I try to find something that says this is the good-ol' Blink 182 we all love, but sadly, I rarely find it. It's just my opinion, and the fact that everyone is kind of freaking out over it, is quite interesting.
