hey dude if you book with easyjet you pay 30 quid to be able 2 put ya bike on the plane! you put ya bike in a bike bag or box wich cost quite a bit but well worth it before hand! you can put all ya shitt in the bag 2 ie helmet n pads n shitt! done it all myself in the summer!
I got hit for over £100 of excess luggage doing that. The £30 gets you an extra 5 kilos. In the UK they don't check, but Geneva on the way back checks the weight. So if your main luggage plus bike bag weighs over 30 kg you get hit for excess. I was lucky that the nice lass at check-in halved the weight before sending me to pay. I should have been more than 20 kilos over.
