that couple was living well beyond there means. simple as that. a flooring contractor who has piked out of the industry claiming disability and now cannot/will not service his massive debts for the exorbitent lifestyle he's allowed his family to get used to. they are stupid.
the real question is... should people feel entitled to protection from their own stupidity? or is it any mans responsibility to make prudent decisions for himself?
"it doesn't make sense for us to lend to people who are going to get into trouble" Of course it does, the banks make $ on those loans for a few years, this guy gets his million dollar bonus, and when the loans inevitably go bad, it is handed off to the taxpayer in a bank bailout.
they pack the govt with their ex-employees as well just like Goldman Sachs is doing. I heard some top position in govt which is supposed to investigate corporate fraud is now occupied by an ex-GS employee. The one thing you can be sure of is what he will NOT be investigating.
They seem to forget they have a couple of great kids... seems to me they want it all. Hopefully we can all learn from this greed; This sense of entitlement The West has formed is potentially going to be our downfall.
The banker is lying! It is quite profitable for them to lend to people that cannot afford loans because for every cc or line of credit they have insurance up to 80%! If that's not enough, they get bailed out by the government anyways!

Do not cry, pay !!! can not afford it ??? why did you not get a smaller house your family could afford you would not have to either pray or cry now.
