@moahamed1000 what you do is go into the camtasia studio and in the blank space click export media and choose you video, now to right click on it and say export camrec contents and extract it where ever you want:)

and then ok, a bunch of stuff will appear on the desktop including you Avi video file from the clip, save the video sample but delete everything else then open the avi file in winodws movie maker!!! I just fixed it MINE cause I counld'nt find the exctract option either !!

Ok people listen carefully, for camstasia 7 you open up the video clip in the camtasia then while it's still in the clip bin right click and go to "extract camrec content" then chose desktop and type "video sample.Avi"

The problem im having is when making a recording. I record the video as well as the systems sounds save the file as .camrec. When i extract the files i have 1 audio file and 1 video file. i cant combine the sound with the video . The audio is showing up as audio2 under the timeline with camtasia studio. Do you know how to combine audio and video with camtasia?

For those who don't have the extract option use your third-party zip application, mine is 7zip. Extract the file to a folder and you will find the avi file in it. For me it didn't start with windows media player but was ok with the vlc player.

@Kizuishaskittle hmm, okay on the desktop : click on the proj to open it up with camtasia: once you do that, you should see a thumbnail of the project that you just opened up, right click over it and click on "extract camrec contents" and just select the dekstop, when you do this the avi video file or whatever format you saved it to should be extracted to the desktop, this will be an annoying way to get the video but just do it for now, ill figure out the solution to help you
