When Camel makes music, it always turns out to be at least a little proggy or jazzy or both. Nude is a completely progressive rock album. But it was still composed at an age where it took influences from pop and new age music. So even City Life whitch is fortunately the only pop-piece in Nude apart from maybe Lies can be referred as sophisticated pop and still has luckily more than three chords and jazzy interludes ;)
If you like this you may also get into their earlier album " I can see your house from here "... not missing out on " Breathless " (just before this one) with the fabulous " Echoes " and the guitar solo of " Summer Lightning " being true Camel classics. Something for the Camel enthusiast would be a bit more along the " Moonmadness " route (their best album) or maybe even a bit of " Rain Dances ",some lovely stuff there. Recently listed at no. 10 of the top 10 Progressive Rock bands of the 70's.
Thanks, all depends how into it you are i suppose, but it's worth saying again, the whole album is where its at if you're a true Camel fan... Lunar Sea, Another Night, fabulous Airborn, and of-course, Song Within a Song... still just as good as when it 1st came out , 34yrs ago. Fabulous.
@Zapple03 yeha man and that's why I agree with you.Moonmadness is not only aa record with songs in ti.It is a real miracle.Even with Aristillus!Who can play like that keyboards, who can make a song with only using a synthesizer?!!??Then Song within a song is what exactly its name tells because nobody could make a song like that again!.Then we come to Chord change and here is when all the feeling and the technique comes out.Spirit of the water is a small song but you want to hear it 3 times!!!
@Zapple03 ...and also Another Night is the top of Progressive rock!Air Born is the most melodical song ever made and Lunar Sea is the song where you can tell the word Camel 100 times.Even the cover is great and even Andrew Latimer says that Moonmadness is his favourite record!!
My response to this got lost in the post, modern techno not always much good, anyway, all i can say is if you can even appreciate the cover art work along with the fabulous music, you've truly scored, where others have/will forever miss out. Isn't it great that that music can be richly appreciated and cherished !

this is playback..

@chao4364 If it`s playback is mixed with the live same song.
The guitar solo at 3:41 till the end is not like the album version , or any other live version .
And i think that Camel don`t need playbacks , cause they were perfect performers in their live concerts.
