  • Such s smart and cute idea! Love your tattoo btw! :)

  • @janetta86 Thanks! :o)

  • Could you hand sew this? I don't own a sewing machine.

  • @LuckyGingerSnaps Technically you can... it would just take a lot longer since you have to do all that hemming. You may consider buying some hem tape and using it to hold the hems instead of sewing them. That will save you a ton of time. :o)

  • That is just too cute!! Can't wait to try it out! Thanks for the idea. Bideb

  • @TheTDLS No doubt! Glad to help! :o)

  • What a great idea!

  • @Squishytrishy Thanks! Hope you give it a try. :o)

  • Do you think for us "larger" girls that it would be ok to cut it all the way off, front and back, so that the apron covers more of us? Of course it wouldn't go all the way around us, but just by adding a few more inches on each side, would make a big difference to our coverage? I think it might work. It would even work for women's shirts that have patterns as long as they have buttons down the front. Cute idea.

  • @AndreaCraneMathison That would definitely work. Just cut through both layers, split it down the center back and then measure it around your waist/hips and mark up to where you want it to reach and add about 1/2" - 1" for the hem on the sides and you can make it cover as much or as little as you want. You can also find some great printed shirts at thrift stores or yard sales! Have fun with it!

  • This is a great video. I,ve used shirts to do scrap quilts --but never thought of doing an apron with them. These will be quick to make up and make great stocking stuffers also.

Thank you so much for the tutorial.

  • @craftyhomemade Thanks! Glad you found me and my app. p.s.- I'm Dominican, too. :o)

  • @TheCraftyGemini Magnifico, me encantan conocer personas como tu, talentosa, que demuestran que somos buenos en muchas cosas.

  • @craftyhomemade Definitivamente! Yo me meto en todo! LOL. Me encanta aprender cosas diferentes especialmente si son habilidades practicas. :o)

  • thank you for posting this video! and a question: what is that cutting tool that you used? the rolling one? can you cut any fabric with that? seems so great.

  • @LadyGaia108 That tool is called a rotary cutter. It takes the place of scissors nowadays. But if you don't have one for the project you can always use scissors. They sell them at fabric and craft shops and online. Keep in mind you MUST HAVE a rotary cutting mat underneath the fabric in order to use the rotary cutter. They both have to be used together. Yes, you can cut any fabric with it. Hope that helps.

  • Hello! I am addicted to your videos, you do the best job! I was wondering if you could give me an advice of which sewing machine to buy. I never sewed before, but I want very much... Does the 8 stitches good enough? I mean, will in the future, that I hope I will have learned, be good machine, or will I want to change again?? I don't know if you understand my question, because the machines cost a lot of money so I am really confused! Thanks for the attention!

  • @MrsRaphaeladias Thanks! Yes, I do understand your question. I will send you a private message because the answer is a lot longer than can fit in this comment box. Lol.

  • you have been a really big help with sewing

  • @Sewing4Christ Glad to help!

  • COOL TATTOO! =]

  • @trixy219107 Thanks! ;o)

  • your are soooo alsomeeeeee

  • @Sewing4Christ LOL. Thanks! Hope you'll enter the giveaway! :o)

  • Love, Love, Love your videos. I've got to try and figure out how to make this a full apron. I'm not to fond of half aprons....all the mess gets on my top half while my bottom half remains clean. ;-)

Thanks for the idea of repurposing the shirt!

  • @hesavedme71 Thanks! That would be a great project to make with the full front of the shirt or even the back of it. You can definitely do it! I am working on a tutorial for that too. ;o)

  • I may sound stupid but do you want us to post the aprons we make or another craft created with the leftovers of the shirt?

  • @BadgeBunnyDiva That's a great question. I want the pictures of what you make with the leftovers of the shirt after the apron project. I want to see how creative you all can be! Thanks for your interest in the giveaway! :o)

  • What an awesome idea.
