  • Wiggystud took the words out of my mouth. They disrespect YOU and your land when they cross that border. Wake up and stop all the p.c. nonsense.

  • VIVA MEXICO #1

  • Why not just put land mines across the border? Or a wide chasm full of alligators? Maybe an electrical fence with a stream of water running in front of it?

  • Deny them access to state funded social programs. Thats why they come over here. You can come here pregnant, drop your load, and your kid gets free education healthcare and citizenship. Deny them education healthcare and citizenship and there would be no problems.

  • You left out jobs. They undercut all American workers. They reproduce like rabbits and when there is enough of them they are going to rule this country and turn it into another poverty ridden Mexico. They are all liers and cheats. I have had first hand experience with them.

  • Here's a solution. When they all come around and protest in parades, have a bunch of buses and deport them. Or better yet, make them slaves, so that way they pay for all the services that we, the taxpayers, have given them.

  • Simply ignorant.

  • Illegal immigration is about one thing - CHEAP LABOR. It's a collusion between:

    1) U.S. corporations

    2) Illegal Immigrants

    3) U.S. Politicians (paid off by businessmen to NOT enforce the law)

This is happening because U.S. businessmen want to undercut the U.S. labor class (ie. proletariat) & replace them with low wage workers.

WHO WINS? Illegal workers (earning FAR MORE than in Mexico) and U.S. businessmen in extra profits from cheap labor.

WHO LOSES? The U.S. labor/working class.

  • Very well said! A politician can not support both illegal aliens and US citizen workers at the same time. If politicians support illegal aliens in anyway, they have already made their choice against US workers. US workers had better make their choice at the ballot box now while they still can!

  • Agreed.

  • vote independent

  • They need to be possessed so they have physicals. There have been cases where they have had TB, and passed it along.

  • Your plea for consistency and logic will never work, therefor we'll never solve this "problem" (if it actually is a problem). Here in California, at least, the economy would come to an abrupt halt if the supply of "illegal" labor vanished from our fields, but for a politician to admit that would then open questions about why that is so and criticism of being weak on security.

  • Agreed. In the song/question I acknowledged that a solution some support is to allow those who are in the country illegally to just stay. I presume that these people would be in favor of then either opening up the border entirely or increasing the yearly quotas for lawful immigration. However, I think there is a problem when we have laws that we don't enforce... either change the law or enforce it... I think that's a reasonable position to take.

  • Greed, hypocrisy and cowardice rule our immigration policy. Big Business wants this cheap (and nonunionized) labor force, so there will be no serious attempt to keep them out. But it makes a great talking point for any politician, including those that represent Big Business. Meanwhile, illegals chip away at social service budgets, which Big Business doesn't care about in the first place.

  • Illegal. Doesn't that word imply that they are breraking the law or something? Bust them and bust everyone who employs them. It is a law for a reason. Enforce it.

  • I did my best to pose the question as neutrally as possible. It would be logical to either change our behavior to match the law (enforce it) or change the law to match our behavior (revise it)... but such a demand for consistency seems to be asking too much of politicians and bureaucrats... who... naturally... care more about the needs of big business than about the needs of the citizens of this country.

  • They care about money, power, and influence. I am disgusted with both Party's gluttony equally.

  • nah, they want to invent an issue to scare folks into voting for them. Ancient Republican Tactic, whereby you can whip folks up until they're foaming at the mouth about just one issue, then do whatever the hell ya want with the other crap that comes with voting for the supporters of that one issue. The proof? They've had 35 years to overturn Roe v. Wade.

  • Then the other side gets to polarize things by taking the "whatever he says, I'm against it" position, as usual, and throw in the usual accusations of bigotry, so you'd better vote for the pluralist party and turn a blind eye to their liberal agenda if you know what's good for you. Nice song, but there's no way they're gonna think the issue out rationally. It's all just a way to get votes, as usual.
