First, I considered human cognitive ability... specifically the thought process of "analogical reasoning". Then I considered the human physiological form which enables speaking

I came up with humanity's nearest relatives being Crows... Aves!

They can speak & correctly execute "analogical reasoning". Neither of which can be said of any of the Great Apes
