I just have to say, having a Gengar with Hypnosis is actually a bit more relevant than it was in gen 4 because of Hex. Hypnosis/Nightmare/Dream Eater/Hex is probably my favorite Gengar combo.

Tier players are too predictable. That OU dude's every move was easily able to be foreseen, and that is why he fails.

NU dude's moves were all easily forseen as well, neither one attempted to predict any switches they all just went for the absolutely most basic plays possible. More so NU player won almost implicitly because of hax, especially that crit on Suicune. His team actually had no answer for that pokemon but he won anyways because of a lucky crit.

@ThePinkReaper Hax is part of the game. That's what makes it Pokemon and not just numbers vs numbers. Suicune also isn't OU. I expect a crit at least once per battle, so I don't call one lucky crit haxing. Now a TrickScarfed Memento'd Machamp getting 3 crits in a row with Fire Punch, while burned, on a Garchomp trying to set up a Sub, but unable to because of the crits, is hax.

@SacredBlackKnight Also massive switching and predictions take fun away from the game. I can predict too, and I've some sets to bait switches, but it's just not fun overall. Competitive isn't fun. Usually full of mean sore losers. I train and make amazing surprise sets, like a ResTalk Psycho Shift Latias, or a SashCounter Mewtwo/Deoxys-A, but I miss just having a fucking Pokemon battle, y'know? Anyway, many OU players' moves were more predictable. They follow smogon to a T :x

Follow smogon to a T like both players in this vid did? Lol. Competitive play is fun because of predictions and switching. It's about testing your knowledge and ability. The reason you hate on the OU player here is because he uses an OU team with smogon sets and plays predictably, but the NU player uses an NU team with smogon sets and plays predictably as well. And when i said the crit was lucky i dont mean a crit itself happening was hax. I understand

that crits happen. What was lucky is it happened at the exact moment that decided the game. Because legitimately he had nothing on his team that was going to beat Suicune. It was literally "Crit this pokemon or lose" those were his two options. Also the hax i meant was the insane number of times the OU players mons were unable to move due to paralysis. He got extremely unlucky. If even one or two of those parahax hadnt happened he would have won.
