@evansusmc I've heard members of the military mention this, and when people mention odds and luck I think of parachutes. We don't want to make a decision where we know the risks are great. But when you get married there is always the risk that you will lose some of your wealth to your spouse following a divorce. That isn't a judgment based solely on gender, it's a judgment based on not wanting to lose your stuff. Unless you sign a prenuptial agreement. Most people don't though. It's one of the reasons I don't want to get married.

@evansusmc I've heard members of the military mention this, and when people mention odds and luck I think of parachutes. We don't want to make a decision where we know the risks are great. I prefer 100% chances over just 50%. It's also basic common sense and economics. I'm for taking calculated risks, not just jumping out of a plane and playing with chances.

But when you get married there is always the risk that you will lose some of your wealth to your spouse following a divorce. That isn't a judgment based solely on gender, it's a judgment based on not wanting to lose your stuff. Unless you sign a prenuptial agreement. Most people don't though. It's one of the reasons I don't want to get married.

I'll agree that in the dictionary under misogyny, it doesn't mention the "action" part, but this is a common concept discussed in feminist theory and the two tend to go together. A dictionary is not necessarily a substitute for an entire theory behind a concept.

Okay, in saying you aren't a feminist you believe that women shouldn't have equal rights as men.
Also, many feminists would disagree with you about the "subconscious belief that women are inferior to men" which you so brilliantly deduced from your intuitive knowledge of people. See advocates of care ethics for said women.

Acting like a man won't bring about equality. However, being allowed access to the education and resources and being provided the same opportunities as men, will.
