so this girl said she liked the mandometer because she felt like it gave her control over how much she ate but, isn't that THING controlling how much you eat?
I've been at such an eatingdisorder clinic, and it's helped me in so many ways.
You're supposed to loose the control over what you eat,
and this machine only accept the decided weight of food
and analyze how much you eat of it.
So in some way, it becomes one kind of safety, because you won't "cross the line" at the same time as one learns how to eat at a normal tempo and take enough big bites of the food. :)
This can help people with eating disorders learn to eat properly, they have unlearned skills that most people take for granted and so far it is proving very useful, think of all the hospital beds NOT taken by obese or underweight eating disordered individuals, it can only be a good thing
@klugyboy This is being used in inpatient programs for people with eating disorders. It's not stupid. Some people are so disordered, they don't know how to eat normal.
I just started this mandometer program to control my eatin disorder..i realy hope that it can help me!!!

This isn't stupid at all.
