I happened to run into Gladys Knight just after she recorded this. She's a longtime Las Vegas lady, a classy and beautiful woman. I knew her great son, in fact, Jimmy was the FIRST person to hire (and pay) me to write. He commisssioned me to draft contracts for his talent management company and I will never forget it, or him. Love you, Gladys. Miss you, Jimmy
With all my respects, I don't like this version. There s s no emotion in their voice, only a jazzy's showing off. This song is supposed to be sad and happy in the same time, it s a very delicate song because it shows something very intimate, a true and deep happiness... you cannot sing it with the disinterested style of jazz.
@simariato Anyone can sing any song any way they want to. And Stevie's version is big and bouncy, so what's the difference? You don't like this one? No problem. I do.

total crap. only gladys knight is able to sing a tune. sad she entered into the arrangement singing with a couple of washed-up singers. but that's why frank and stevie featured her voice - they needed someone to carry them.
I bet that Stevie Wonder is so damn rich he can see now, just pretends to be blind.
